Also, look at Shane Mosley. He was way out of reach of the P4P list before his win last weekend, now he has entered straight in @ No 6, so Hatton beating Pac and becoming No 1 is no more unconceivable than Mosley’s ratings this week.

Hardly? thats ridiculous. But was Tarver a P4p top 10 fighter for the last 3 years like Ricky Hatton when he fought Jones? I do not think so. Stop your Brit hating, its tedious and it makes you all look like ******s.

Indeed, I fully agree. I'm actually wondering how Hatton will react to it being put to him that he isn't recognised as the P4P#1 if he does beat Pac Man...

I'm not sure if it's genuine ignorance on his part or an attempt to add further prestige to the fight by talking of a 'P4P Title' being at stake...

Based on his lacklustre display against the average Mayorga or his UD loss to Cotto?

It doesnt matter what rank you have 3yrs ago..Ricky is not in the p4p top10 today, and he can only fight at 140lb division. And if he beats pac, you think he's better than JMM, JC, SSM, BH???

    Oh,com'on man..Im not a Brit nor Hatton hater, you're just a Hatton nuthugger.....:yep:yep:yep

By the way, of all the people who comment in this thread, didn't you notice that you're the only one who says Hatton will be p4p1 if he beats pac??? Its either you're delusional or a nuthugger....:good:good:good

    both. and more.

I thought MosLey beat Mayorga handily although Mayorga outweighed him by 10lbs. I had Mosley up 7 rounds to 4 going into the 12th and we all know how that went. Meanwhile Mosley landed many flush shots on Mayorga throughout the fight while Mayorga barely landed any really telling blows.

As for Cotto I had Cotto winning 7 rounds to 5 in a very close fight. In the championship rounds Cotto had to pull out some top class boxing skills that I didn't know he had because Mosley was coming on.

2 top class fighters facing off, 1 of them will lose, but that doesn't mean he isn't a very good fighter.

And then there's Mosley's domination of Collazo who took Hatton to hell. Mosley barely broke a sweat and showed he was really a class above..

    and more...

Hatton Nuthugger? Im the only sane person in this thread, and quite clearly the only intelligent one. Hatton is No 9 P4P, did you not know this fool?

If Hatton beats Pacquaio it will be because hes much stronger at the weight, not to mention Morales has beaten Pacquaio at lower weights, Marquez arguably beat Pacquaio twice and neither have ever been P4P no1

Did Lamotta become P4P no1 when he beat Sugar Ray? (Did he bollox)
Did Taylor become P4P no1 when he beat Hopkins?
Did Tarver become P4P no1 when he beat Jones?
Did Hopkins become P4P no1 when he beat Trinidad? (who was top2 - no he didnt)
Did Forrest become P4P no1 when he beat Mosley? (another top1 or 2 P4P - no he didnt)

Very few 1weight champions have ever been P4P no1. Look Hatton has avoided some very tough challenges, if he wants to be P4P no1, beat Pacquaio, then the Mosley-Cotto winner, and he'll have a case. But he won't have the balls to do that anyway so its mute.

P4P Hatton isn't close to been above Calzaghe or Hopkins even if he wins this. Marquez would still be above him. And if Haye beats Wladdy hes above Hatton too

    Hatton is top 10 p4p....

But I wouldn't put Hatton at number 1 and I consider myself a big fan, but i'm not delusional.
