    What both these guys said.

Please BBBoC, stop the feckin ring invasion by the manager, father, uncle, cousin, kids, babes in arms etc after every Khan fight, it doesn't happen with any other boxer outside of the USA.

    Hatton probably.

Just as an example you can use his come back fight against Juan Lazcarno, Hatton got slated by alot of people. The thing is alot of the people slating him where the ones who where championung Witter..........and Witters opponent after his loss to Bradley was against an Argentinian who was 29-4 and had never fought outside of Argentina.

But alot of people chose to overlook this.

Man, you would think with the way some of you were whining about 'Ricky' being so hated on ESB that he had no fans here.

    Total mistruth.

The fact of the matter was that before Mayweather beat "our Wicky" there were literally HUNDREDS of Hatton huggers polluting this & every other ESB forum with all their nonsense about how great Ricky the fighter/person was.

The haters you could count on one hand, the huggers on the other hand? Too many too mention. However, once Hatton lost, most disappeared, never to be seen again.
People wonder why I dont have much patience for noobs, but as a vet here of many years it was all those faceless hatton fans amongst other things that drove me to distraction so much that that I pick & choose when & who I post to on here. The Hatton hugging was THAT bad.

So please, when talking about hating, can we be a bit more even handed & mention why the haters were hating so much in the first place? i.e because of the out of hand hatton hugging going on?

I hate seeing people here trying to rewrite history here & trying to paint the picture that Hatton somehow wasnt adored here unlike everywhere else pre Mayweather...
Hatton haters werent the norm here, they were very much the polar opposite.

There were quite a few vocal Hatton haters on here pre-Mayweather. There was quite the little celebration when the Zoo fight was announced (even though previously to that the line had been that Hatton would never dare fight Zoo as he was scared to death of him) because Hatton was going to get "brutally KTFO" ("brutally" was the 'in' word on ESB around that time). Of course after the fight it was "decided" that Zoo was shot and the ref was a homer, but thats another story......;O)

Dont know if you are referring to anything I might/might not have said Gazza, but I will answer back anyway, even if your verbal volley was aimed at some other poor soul/hater.

Before I do answer though may I just congratulate you & every other Hatton fan hanging around on your 'jammyness' i.e. Ricky gets two shots at greatness, & on his terms! Looks like lightning does strike twice if you are a hatton fan, & so on & so forth.

Anyway, about that infamous Tszyu fight. You never stop learning as a boxing fan, & that particular fight tought me many things.
It tought me to never rule out anything that goes on in a Hatton fight in England!
Tszyu IMO would have won that fight if it wasnt for inept reffing from a certain Dave Parris, I mean lets face it, Kostya had Hatton down for the count with a legit bodyshot, but ruled it a 'low blow' & the rest as they say is history. Parris let Ricky assault Kostyas bollocks without as much as points deduction, Ricky told the world 'its not a tickling contest you know' & all was swept under the carpet as a hurt Tszyu simply gave up, & retired.

IMO Hatton was "brutally" knocked out as was the 'in thing' to say at the time according to the book of Gaz, but thank for for Dave Parris, standing up to be counted when it mattered;)

Still makes me sick to this day that does, the way Kostya was treated.

But hey, what do I know?

Nah. I didn' mean you in particular Dunky. This may disappoint you but you were FAR from the 'worst' hater and at least used to sprinkle a little humour and knowledge in with the hating...;O)

The low blows are (were?) on YouTube, Hatton hit Zoo in the nuts after Paris had done nothing to stop Zoo hitting Hatton there. I'd like to believe that people were genuinely upset/ outraged how Zoo was treated but I think most of the haters were just gutted that a fight they were convinced (and praying!!!) would end the first time Zoo timed Hatton coming in with right hand ended up with Hatton winning.

I remember getting **** for even buying the tickets FFS, "the fight will be cancelled, Hatton will pull out", "Zoo KO1" and all that. I guess those guys HAD to come up with something after Hatton won.....:D

I hate Hatton because someone has to go against the grain. His style is annoying, punch punch hold hold grapple punch hold, ****ing Ruiz type ****. Got away with rough tactics for YEARS and thats ok, but its ****ing ****ing then to hear 'Floyd was using his elbows'...****ing right he was, either that or get them and a headbutt too maybe.

Great moment in boxing history when Mayweather hammered him

As i say, his style pisses me off, i think he is a holder, he has an average chin and limited boxing ability.

Then his persona out of the ring....dont get me started on that

All in all i dont like him, saw through him after initially being a fan

    Dont like Khan or Harrision

Always liked Danny Williams, Jamie Moore, Michael Gomez, Matt Macklin, Kevin Mitchell and many other UK or half UK fighters

Agreed. The funny thing was, Witter himself was one of those slating Lazcano, who at least was a top 10 contender. The funny thing is that Lazcano had just basically gone even with the guy (Harris) who is Witter's signature win. Then he goes and comes back against this guy. Hello Mr kettle, I'm pot...
