He is not leaving the door open...it's not like he has any control over how Margarito defends himself. Only one of two things are going to happen...either Marg will say he knew or he will say he had no idea...you make it sound as if Naseem extended an option for Marg to say "I didnt know..." Maybe he just wanted to extend the "benifit of doubt"...maybe he feels the trainer is at fault because they basically control a lot of fighters...Its hard to just blindly jump to the conclusions your contemplating because its all reasoning that isnt grounded in any facts...

If there was any substance besides tape or gauze that was removed, thats proof.

Do you understand what it means when the statement released says "a foreign substance" was located, you ****ing idiot? So yes, SOMETHING was in his wraps, and it was FOREIGN -- i.e. not typical.

I don't think it's a bad thing to encourage people not to draw conclusions just yet. Granted, the initial evidence doesn't look promising for Margo, but why burn the guy at the stake until we know the whole truth.
And the whole truth is going to be revealed soon enough.

This is a good point. We don't know exactly what happened or what the substance was. We'll find out soon enough. That said, it's ludicrous for Zakman to pretend like these very serious allegations are just rumors with no evidence to back them up.

Yes, obviously something was found that was a cause of concern. If it wasn't a cause of concern, then they never would have removed it and sent it away to be analyzed.
As I said, it doesn't look good for Margo. But, there's always the possibility (even if it seems slim right now), that this might end up being no big deal and it's currently being blown out of proportion due to rush to judgment and rumour.
The venomous hate on this board toward Margo is disturbing since no official judgment has been handed down.

I agree....the wheels of justice grind exceedingly slown here and not
    always just....
The pending investigation I'm sure has come up with a result.

With the suspensions....a message was sent....and someone is going
to end up with a fatter bank account and a damn good explanation will be
given to us as to why they had to confiscate the wraps.
Boxing is corrupt and the same ol politics.

I have the same feeling. How long does it take to "investigate" the substance, or even deliver a statement regarding the contents of Margarito's wraps? The backroom boys at the CSAC are trying to piece together a Dickensian fairytale for us to consume that makes them look less inept than they really are.

It does if you go into a fight trying to make an example of another fighter, did you think about the fact mosley kid were watching this fight, what if Richardson had not caught the wraps in time and it was Shane on the other side of a brick beating.. what ever Margarito had in his gloves was not legal Period !!!
