Why did Roach take the Barrera fight?

Ever thought the step up in class might be too big? And I don't think Roach can tell exactly how good Khan is by sparring.

 

It was a flash knock down, did not even effect Khan.

Prescott shots would of KO any lightweight.

 

i think you should just wait until the fight is over..cuz you chat a load of jiberish. Obviously your a amir khan hater..i don't know whether its a race issue or a jelousy issue but you just need to take it easy. Amir Khan has talent whether you believe it or not...nobody wins a silver medal at the age of 17 if they haven't got talent.

Il be the first one to admit that his chin is weak..but even if he does get knocked down..he's shown he will get straight back up..he has got all the heart in the world. Prescott has very good power and the punches Khan took would KO a lot of fighter straight let alone trying to getting back up the way Khan did. Barrera may even Knockdown khan..but Barrera has got no Prescott power..therefore Khan will get straight back up. But only time will tell..so lets wait n see.

 

Barrera is past it. Its a winnable fight for Khan and a markee name on a still empty resume.

Willie Limond would have been an even better comparison (30-2, 8 KO's); he put Khan on his ass and some say Khan got the benefit of a long count.

exactly. There are different types of knockdowns i.e. off-balance, flash knockdown and getting knockd the **** out. All of khan's knockdown's have been a mixture of flash and off-balance knockdowns hence why he got straight back up with no problems bar Prescott.

Barrera sparked Fana with one shot, and that wasn't because he was a knockout artist, but because Fana was never in that class, and hadn't taken a punch from a quality fighter before. The same case will be with Amir.

Berrera also hit 10 good shots off on Naz and only 1 rocked him.

 

Naz was a world champion, a world class fighter. What in gods name has Amir done in the pro ranks to make that kind of comparison?

 

Khan has a problem of putting his head in wrong places and blocking his view to see the punches coming. If you dont see the punch coming you are not ready for the impact, i feel this is his problem for going down so easy. He should work on that because his chin is not the best.
