    I'm British. Calzaghe's British. I'm happy!!

It makes no difference to me what part of the UK a British fighter comes from. Obviously I have my favourites, but they are not based on geography

Don't care where a boxer(or any sportsman for that matter) comes from or what colour he is, if I like them then I'll support them:smoke

I just used an umbrella description of the items on show..
kilts with welsh flags painted on them ,wales rugby shirts ,cardiff city shirts ,etc etc etc

Some bloke was wrapped in a welsh flag while wearing a white socks/sandals combo. :hammertime

Utterly indifferent. Nationality means nothing to me, never has done. I judge every fighter solely on their individual boxing career. I have always thought that clutching to nationality and national biases is a sign of very low intelligence. An old world mentality that will soon die out hopefully, for the good of the human race!

Im Scottish, Calzaghes Welsh , is all good. English Welsh blah blah, who gives a ****. Am very Scottish and have no need to justify it to the extent i feel inferior and use it as a show of confidence as other's do.

    Theres patriotic.............and theres being a ***** ! !

For example i once bought an England shirt for certain reasons. People wondered at this reason but never questioned me on it. I currently own the current Holland away shirt and home shirt. I also own the current Australia away shirt.

Do i own the current Scotland ones ?

    No.......they look pish....do i care that i dont..No

When abroad i certainly say am Scottish ( its something thats instinctive to say when asked , as am sure it is for the english or welsh etc), any country i have been in,we get big lovn :deal :D

I can't say that I'm totally unbiased when it comes to nationality in boxing. When a British fighter is fighting a foreign guy, If I'm not particularly a fan of either, I will root for the British guy by default. But, if say, Calzaghe fought Tito, I would root for Tito because I'm a fan of him, and Calzaghe being British wouldn't change that. I mean, I wanted Roy Jones to beat Calzaghe. But if Calzaghe fought Dawson, I would want Calzaghe to win.

In terms of seperating Welsh from English etc. I don't do it, I'm one of the few English people who consider themself British first and foremost, you would never hear me describe myself as "English" in regular conversation (yeah, I know I just did). The only time I seperate "English" from "Scottish" or "British" in individual sports is, Andy Murray :D as I generally just refer to him as "****".

Couldnt give a **** where he is from, I like him as a Boxer. That's all.

I'm Scottish, and to those saying you get Scots taking the whole Eng/Scot banter too seriously(Trotter). Pish, And the fact your basing it on Scots you bumped into in England makes it funnier. You bump into a Scot in England, he makes you brick it, and leaves you mentally scarred against us. We bump into one of yours up here and he wouldnt say boo to a goose.:D

It's only banter, Apart from football, and only coz of that **** Tyldesley or whatever the **** you call him, and Motson. When I'm watching Burnley Vs Morecambe in the FA Cup I dont need to know that the linesman's granny's milkman was born in 1966 four foot from Wembley.

Boxing doesnt count, When Calzaghe/Lewis/Hatton win in Boxing i am safe in the knowledge that if i turn on to watch Who Wants To Be A Millionaire I dont have to listen to 15 minutes of how "It's our time now" or what their birds were doing when their "Men" were trying to play football at a big photo shoot er i mean match.:hey

That's me done my bit for Anglo/Scots relations.:smoke

I lived in Holland for many months and the usual long weekends.:nut

The England shirt was to **** of ppl regarding walks to the ring.:yep

Yes i am a born and bred Ger's fan, no option back then. I see the connection you make and yes its a justified guess/assumption. :good

Football wise, am all about the game. If it aint said on the park then i dont need to hear or know about it. :deal
