Following on from TFFP's threads invloving discussion about international boxing, I thought it would be good to hear what the general concencous is about the p4p listings. Here's mine (could vary everytime I post one):

    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Joe Calzaghe
    3. Juan Manuel Marquez
    4. Israel Vazquez
    5. Bernard Hopkins
    6. Shane Mosley
    7. Celestino Caballero
    8. Rafael Marquez
    9. Ricky Hatton
    10. Paul Williams

The first half is quite easy to pick the fighters, the other half not quite as much!

If that is a top 20, surely David Haye is ahead of the likes of Adamek and Pavlik?

The general standard of the sport is dire right now.. seriously. Doing a top ten is almost depressing.

I don't care for these lists.

They are far too reactionary. If one guy wins he makes it on the list. If another loses he disapears off the face of the earth. How can the 6th best fighter on earth disapear completely after a loss?

I could make a list on who I think the top 10 best fighters are, I do not give a **** about Rings until they come up with some real criteria instead of this horse **** swapping game. :fire

Paulie was, at the time, regarded as number 2 in the division, and Hatton was within the top 10 before losing to the p4p number 1 - so why can't he be back in it?

Since Haye is a Heavyweight now, you're effectively saying that he is easily the 2nd best heavyweight in the world.
