I think this whole weight drained thing is made too much off

It was Haye that claimed it

I think Enzo wanted the fight - period.

    2 reasons.

    Biggest ever payday.

Chance to fight and win WBC / WBA titles that would have made him a Welsh Boxing Legend to become a Undisputed Champion from Swansea.

Didnt work out...............he got knocked the **** out.

But I think he wanted the chance against haye not because he simply thought Haye was weight drained.

Its not a body building competiton otherwise Jeff Lacy would have beaten Joe Calzaghe

Haye looked better phsyiucally but we know Enzo is fitter and has the better stamnia

If Enzo knew it was a mismatch it didnt sound like that in the weeks building up to the fight of how he sounded postive about winning the fight

I don't think stamina comes into play after two rounds.

    Not unless its Shannon Briggs.

    Terry

You said Enzo knew it was a mismatch like he knew he was going to lose

Well it dont seem like that in this video................

Nothing at the weigh in suggested that

Enzo was laughing and joking with Joe Calzahge behind the changing screen

And Haye bottled it and looked away first at the stare down

Yes Haye looked in much more impressive condition but then he always does because he is genetically more a muscular type than bean pole Enzo

Both of their careers up to that point suggested it was going to be a pick em fight

If he can use both hands then I think that he has a decent chance.

It did look like an even fight. Haye had the marginally better c.v due to the Mormeck win. Previously both had been pretty sheltered and had suffered bad knock out defeats. Fair play to Haye as he won the fight fair and square but the meeting didn't tell us much more about either fighter.

Thats the one fight where it leaves doubt if Enzo was in Hayes class

    However...............

After that fight he changed from a crude slugger to good boxer by joining the Calzaghe camp

He destroyed Hobson in a rematch

And was improving with each fight

His defence let him down against Haye it has always been too leaky

Enzo has won the lottery if he gets this WBO title via an easy fight with the #5 ranked fellow.

That Ramirez guy woulda given him HELL.

I take your points but you look at each of their records prior to the Mormeck fight and there was nothing between them, hence the reason why the pundits were split on picking a winner.

Since then Haye's career has gone from strength to strength whilst Enzo's is in the doldrums. This, however, is more to do with business outside of the ring rather than in it. Haye has set up his own promotional company and is chasing the big names. Enzo is stuck with the dreaded Frank Warren protocol and is sinking back towards domestic level rather than chasing the big fights to get him back the world level scene.

Haye is not interested in meaningless money fights while Mac has no choice due to Warren's personal agenda. My opinion, sack him and get behind Calzaghe Promotions and give yourself a chance of hitting the big time rather than wasting years fighting no hopers on dreary nights at the quarter full MEN Arena :good
