I suppose you COULD give him 4 rounds, if you're being nice, but Calzaghe dominated Rds 5-11 and shared 1-4 IMO. I like Mikkel, but he admitted in the Post Fight Conference that he lost and was hurt in the 8th. :bbb

Taylor avoided Forch, don't know about Kessler.
Bute has said he would like a Kessler fight but at the moment I don't see it happening.Maybe at the end of the year at the soonest.

Bute and his promoters has said many times they would like to unify after the next mandatory. About the tv exposure, Kessler is not a much bigger star than Bute in USA. They both are at the beginning of US exposure and have to work hard to sell themselves to the US fans. Taylor knows he's the key for the American market and won't give anything to Kessler, Bute or Froch. Like it or not, Bute is in a better position than Kessler to fight Taylor. If Bute wins the rematch against Andrade, probably aired on Showtime again, he would be more interesting for Taylor. Montreal is not far, big crowds here, and Montreal is on Eastern time, same as Las Vegas. Since his last showing on HBO (a loss), Kessler is invisible on US television. That's not good for him.

If Calzaghe "shared" rd 2 or 4 Kessler definietly shared rd 7,8 and 10 (Richie Woodhall scored the fight for Setanta sports and gave 7 to Kessler and had 10 a draw. Some people gave 10 to Kessler (though I certainly didn't)). Remember there is a difference btw touching an opponent a hundred times and staggering a guy across the ring twice like Kessler did to JC in rd 7.

Fact is, all the rounds were close ecept 4, 6, 9 and 11 (Don't tell me 3 was one sided - JC hardly got Past Kesslers guard and Kessler slipped right after landing a haymaker).
Rds 1, 5 and 7 were too close to call IMO. 8 was pretty damn close too, but JC wins it for the bodyshot.

i'm tired of Kessler, i had alot hope for this guy, but he fails to live up to his skills, he fights eurobum after eurobum, wth is he thinking? is he trying to be the next Calzaghe or some****? step it up Kessler, you're too talented to be fighting these cans

He needs to part ways with Palle and that whole b.s. crew...

Sign with a American or Brit promoter who will get him the big fights.

And get a new cornerman! They were pathetic in the Calzaghe fight!

No enswell for his eye... and the only advice they could give was "come on Mickell, go forward,,,throw hard punches,,, don't give him anything" WTF?

This fight deserves a mighty "meh".

In short, another garbage fight for Kessler.
