Chad Dawson: " Me Vs Paul Williams @ 168 Could Make Sense Someday"

Im not going to type up specifics cause im tired but in the article he is talking about fights when he is done with tarver.... he said nothing is going on at cruiser so his best bet may be to move down to 168... says he couldnt make 160 unless he chopped one of his legs off...

said him vs pw may make sense one day if he is truly done at welterweight and can make a succesful transition up to 160...

says he's not really worried about calzaghe... if it happens it happens if it doesnt it doesnt... in 2009 he would like to fight bhop or calzaghe to prove that he is the best light heavyweight on this planet

He wants Hopkins or Calzaghe and and HBO wants Hopkins or Calzaghe if he beats Tarver, but we'll see what kind of money they can muster. I'm guessing it won't be enough for Bernard or Joe.

The next best fight for Dawson probably is Kessler. Pavlik or Taylor down the road could be possibilities as well.

 

Williams still has a longer reach though.

And I think Dawson would struggle to make SMW.

Dawson's a good fighter, but he's starching nobody except a past-it Tarver. He should move UP and rematch Adamek, now that would be an entertaining fight. Dawson has awesome skills and heart, Adamek comes forward and has a lot of heart too. Their first fight was good but Dawson dominated most of it....Adamek came on strong at the end.

It warrants a rematch, and if he doesn't fight Hop or Joe C there's no one at LHW worth sticking around for IMO (unless Kessler moves up)

 

he said he's not fighting at CW, and he's also said it would be no problem for him making 168

but that aside, i've yet to see any version of Paul Williams that even looks like he has a chance against Chad Dawson in a fight, but they did say in the future, so who knows, maybe Wililiams'll be a different fighter but then, doubt it, but we'll see, maybe this'll make some since someday

Well, seeing as he appears to have MORE power in his single fight at MW, I would assume he can sit down on his punches moer at the higher weight. Dawson's chin is a ? too so who knows?

Dawson by WIDE PTS if it happened later on this year, hypothetically.

Williams is ridiculous,fighting Dawson is to big a risk forhim and in all honesty Dawson should be going after bigger prey than a guy who's best weight is probably 154....He should fight Johnson again...or move up and fight Adamek

 

that 37 year old and 44yr old are #1 and 2 in his division, while he's sitting at #3, so whats funny about that?.....and some people no there limits, he knows he's not big enough to fight agaisnt guys that are 200lbs, how does that make him a bum?
