What's the deal? Wlad has extended offers to go into Haye's backyard and fight him Haye has yet to agree with any of the offers. What's the problem? I have a big feeling that Haye is now out-pricing himself because he knows that he only has this chance to cash in.:yep This was always a fear when making this fight. Haye clearly didn't want to try his chances at beating any top heavyweights to bring more interest to the table on his side, he pretty much only used his mouth as his marketing tool. This seems like an obvious case of trying to jump directly into a title shot and cashing in. I would figure that if Haye really feels like he is going to win this fight, it wouldn't take much for him to accept the offer with Wlad already agreeing to fight in Haye's backyard. Especially when we know that Wlad is never unfair at the business table.... and it is Wlad with everything on the line. What is keeping Haye from signing on to this fight? Why hasn't he accepted any of the offers from Wlad? Is he that big headed that he is trying to not only get just about an immediate shot at the champ, but have it in his own backyard, and completely control the negotiations too?
It is sad that people are begging someone to beat Klitschko so bad they are talking up a Glass Jawed Cruiserweight. I will give Haye credit for one thing if the fight is made he has talked himself into a big payday. The fight is a mismatch. I was hoping Vitali was going to get the fight so he would brutally KO Haye and teach him a lesson.
Rumours are he has very bad hand problems and hasn't got long left in the game. That would explain why he wanted the Klitschko fight so quickly and why he's haggling for a better deal.
I respect Haye as a fighter, and as a Cruiserweight Champ. I also believe that he is a natural heavyweight and is going to be a dangerous fight for anyone. However... I think that he will have a very difficult time beating any of the top 10 heavyweights... especially the top 5. I think that his camp knows this, and they are trying to cash in with a title fight right away. Which is why Haye backed so far off of what he first said which was "Wlad will beat his two bums, I will knock out two top 10 heavyweights, and then we'll fight". He went from that, to... "I will knock out one fringe top 30 heavyweight, and cash in".
LOL at someone knocking Haye. He wants the best and called out both brothers to their faces. Wlad cannot possibly earn anything remote to what he would fighting Haye than someone else.
maybe Wlad is low-balling him. Haye is a very small heavyweight againts a huge heavyweight. He's likely gonna get ktfo. I can understand he wants a big payday
Haye is 6'3" and walks around healthy and in shape at over 230 pounds. He has said so himself for years. He said that he trained down for his fight against Barrett because he didn't want to jump up so high, so fast. Haye is a natural heavyweight who sucked down to Cruiserweight. He isn't going to get knocked out because he is smaller. He is going to get knocked out because Wlad is better. Either way... when you haven't beat any top 10 or even top 20 heavyweights... you are thrown the gift of getting a title shot... AND that Champ is even willing to come into your own backyard to do it. I would think that it wouldn't be that hard to reach an agreement. Wlad doesn't low ball people, it isn't his style. We are talking about a guy who has refused to let HBO put his fights on PPV, because he didn't want the fans to have to pay to see him fight.
stupid thread.....why would he go through his year worth of **** talking and all that other bull****, just to price himself out of his dream fight?
He collected a paycheck of around 13.500.000$ after he had defeated Thompson. Not that bad for fighting a hardly recognisable name like Thompson,eh!???
To try and cash in, obviously. I am sure that he hopes the fight comes off... however I am also sure that he is trying to get more than he's worth.... which could end up causing the fight to fall apart. Then what? Wlad will still be Champion and move on to the next guy who is more serious about actually trying to win the title in the ring. Haye on the other hand, will be forced to either continue to sit on his ass and run his mouth in the media... or actually get into the ring and fight a top contender.
Aren't you the same fool that created that thread stating that Pac was ducking Hatton? Man you never learn do you. Maybe you should stop being an armchair reporter and just wait for things to unfold. Talk about drama queen :rofl
