JMM Rejects Cortez for Diaz fight

    I think it is a damn good decision. I hope more boxers reject Cortez as the ref of their fights. He is one of the worst refs I have ever seen.

    Not really he didn't let Hatton get away with murder like he does in the rest of his fights. Not that it would have mattered. Hatton could have had his mom as the ref and he was still gonna get his ass kicked.:deal

    great decision i hope more fighters start doing this all the real fighters should demand steve smoger as the third guy in the ring he is the best ref in the world and does'nt get enough work in big fights

    I don't blame him. Cortez is awful, and he thinks that he is the star of the show.

    Smoger only works east coast fights. Mainly MSG and Atlantic City. Kenny Bayless should be the ref. Him along with Smoger are among the best in the business.

    Bayless is one of the most fair refs in my book. Its about time someone stands up to Cortez'z BS.

    Good decision by JMM, Cortez just keeps messing up more and more.

    Bull**** and you know it.

    Not that it would have changed the outcome, but Cortez's performance in the Mayweather vs Hatton fight was one of the worst reffin displays Ive ever seen.

    Watch him there, then watch him in Calzaghe vs Hopkins.

    Good, Cortez is a bad ref now and is biased towards mexican fighters.

    I'm pretty sure that Cortez is puerto rican, not to mention that if he was biased against mexican fighteres that would stand in marquez's favour.
