Is David Haye now out-pricing himself?

Just when people were getting excited.....Wladdy starts playing games. The Klitschko's obviously want Haye to look elsewhere and just "Leave Wladdy alone" :D They threw up Vitali to try and scare him off, but that didn't work so now they pretend to negotiate and then blame Haye for the fight not happening. They are probably asking him to fight for free for all we know, as he obviously will not do that.

I can't see why Haye would price himself out of a fight that he has wanted for so long. He wasn't taking this fight to lay down; win or lose he was coming to try his best for a win. Something smells and this thread was quickly thrown up to try to mask it.

People can try to blame Haye, but he was the one calling out the supposedly "supremely unbeateable" Klitschko.

The rumors of Wlad-Arreola were going strong come to think of it. K2 knows that is the fight they want, but they had do pull this PR BS and go spoil negotiations with Haye -- a cruiserweight  I was ready to give Wladdy his credit for stopping Haye. Wishiful thinking.

That's actually good news to me if you're right. I'm still waiting for this fight to be signed. I have read all your posts in this thread Chef and I thank you for contributing, but one thing puzzles me. If the Vitali-Haye stunt was just PR, then I'm not convinced that Mr. Haye was in on it. The K2 brothers knew it would be Wlad all along, but I'm not sure Mr. Haye did.

The question is when will Haye sign. At some point the offer will be a "take it or leave it". I hope he takes it

Haye has fast hands and power and is a danger for Vlad but he may be better served to wait a bit...still he has a punchers chance and so does Vlad

How could it be unfair? He says he is going to win. Would 80/20 or 90/10 be more fair?

Haye has nothing to claim. Its a voluntary defense. Take it or leave it.

But I can here our little kiddies crying Wlad ducking Haye. Damn these idiots need a life.

Please outline all the terms of the offers you speak about. If you can't do that, then your post becomes irrelevant in short order. :deal

I would also add that you contradict yourself badly, because a couple of days ago your claim was that Haye stands to lose nothing with a defeat - just moves on with his career at HW having lost to who you yourself perceive to be the best. Now he's "cashing out"????

Your arguments about Haye being a "natural heavyweight" are also very suspect. Now you're trying to spin him upwards into some giant of a fighter to embellish Klitscho's status should he beat Haye? Reduce the sting if Haye manages to pull out a win? At best he is a smallish HW who will have to rely on speed and good power for a man his size. He's roughly the size of Evander Holyfield, FAR less proven, and with nothing approaching Holy's granite chin.

However, it is refreshing to see Klitschko entertaining the thoughts of fighting a man who you and most of your cronies have summarily dismissed as having no business getting a title shot in the first place. So why is WALD even considering this fight? "Family honour"? :yep

To spare me reading 13 pages of rhetoric, can you provide some numbers so we can actually assess whether fair offers are being made or not?

a funny thing happened, all the while the macho man Haye thought he was the hunter, relentlessly chasing and haunting Klitschko. Now poor Haye has learned the stark cold reality, and probably much to his dismay, that in fact he is not the predator but the hunted prey himself.

Much more likely that the usual grind of negotiations is going on - with a bunch of shrill Klitschko fanboys trying to posture it into something way bigger than it is to discredit David Haye.
