Is David Haye now out-pricing himself?

Skip the big bold colourful ink, man. It helps your rhetoric not one iota. In fact, it smacks of desperation.

Haye is no natural HW. When the vast bulk of his career has been fought at CW, then that is his predominant weight. Period. After he has progressed at HW for several fights it can be revisited. So he weighs 230 between fights? So what? Ricky Hatton weighs what between bouts? 180? 190? Haye weighed 215 against Barrett and 217 against Bonin. That's a small HW by anyone's standards today.

Now he has better punch resistance because he isn't "draining"? Even if he is now fighting at 215, he will also be facing shots from a huge opponent. Kinda cancels out, huh? :yep

I never said anything about a size difference between Holy and Haye. I said they are similar in size. Both accomplished cruisers. Holy with vastly more big league experience and a far better chin. Now you suggest that Holyfield had to struggle hard to bulk up to HW???? Please don't comment on a time frame you have zero firsthand knowledge of. You made that same mistake by slagging Ruddock's loss to Jaco without having the foggiest idea what actually happened. Steer clear of filling in missing gaps with Boxrec.

You claimed that Haye is "cashing out". Now you reference "cashing in". Very, very different concept. :hi:

 

Please elaborate. It's clear that Haye is being cast in a very negative light, with no actual facts about the $$$$ or terms being disclosed by his accuser. Sorry, that reeks.

 

Arbitration is NOT the de facto standard. Both fighters represent a good draw - especially so for Haye should the fight go in London. You know better than this.

 

Wasn't Vitali at the Barrett destruction? Didn't he comment on what a great performance it was by Haye? Wasn't he himself immediately hyping a potential bout? I smell promotion - some of it by those scholarly men with four-year PhD's. :yep

to be fair with the majority of these posts i don't agree with widow but he is right in the fact haye is a natural heavyweight he has been cutting alot of weight his whole career to fight at cruiserweight.

I'm not sure where he sits.If he to be called a heavy,he is a small heavy but then he is too big for cruiser.
Adam Booth said after the Maccarinelli weigh in that Haye had been saying that he was killing himself to dangle a carrot for Maccarinelli.One which he took thinking it was his best chance of winning that fight.I don't think that is entirely accurate,I think Enzo wanted the fight anyway but Haye came in a comfortable 2lbs under.He turned up on stage at the weigh in drinking water also,though I believe he didn't drink all of the water from that bottle,just mind games.

 

I agree. Haye has always had to LOSE weight to make Cruiser. He's a natural Heavyweight.
