70% to the winner is ridiculously kind to Haye and in all likelyhood it would never be the deal. This is boxing & anything can happen, why would the Champ take a chance like that? Haye isn't like a Mayweather or Oscar name either..................

Ok, it is a risk. If I were Klitschko's manager i would NEVER agree to it. Klitschko is just too vulnerable. If Haye performs well, Klitschko will collapse like a house of cards. Take note, I said if.......

I wouldn't take that deal if I was any champion.

Do you really think WALDO is a household name in England? I promise you he isn't.

If I were Haye and they'd promised the fight in England and then tried to switch venues I'd be demanding more money, personally.

70% is what a champ would get if it goes to purse bid, so it means no other extenuating circumstances are factored. Haye has a strong case for the additional 5%.

I read that Klitschko is pushing now to have it in Germany. Why, if he was amenable to England to start with? Probably to leverage more of the purse if Haye is pressuring on that front. WALD takes the Haye home turf angle out of the monetary discussions in one fell swoop. :yep

So Haye should get more if it is in England. Simple logic. And England has been the proposed venue until now. Thanks for that. :D

Wlad has a strong case for 70-30 because it's for 2 unified belts plus the IBO & against the recognized #1 HW guy.

Haye would have a better case if he were a mandatory defense or if he had fought & KO'd 2 top 10 Heavys like he promised he would.

Exactly. If you're trying to get too big a piece of the pie because it's in England & those fans are yours, switch to Germany & you guarantee a sellout and you take away Haye's only defense of his demands.............

I don't think 70/30 is grossly unfair at all. I do think Haye has an argument for an additional 5% if the bout goes in England (as Klitschko himself said it could). At least if it gets switched to Germany we'll be confident that brutal judging won't enter into the end equation.

I'm sure Wladimir wanted to fight in England to try to impress those fans over there without over-using his German fans to get a large crowd. It was probably a major part of why he wanted the fight with Haye in the first place.

Right, except Klitschko already said England is fine. Backtracking is NOT a good thing. :yep

I seriously doubt judges will be necessary for this particular matchup :D

Unless it's used as leverage to get more money. :yep

Haye should get more than WK if it's in England? Did I get that right? :think
