Actually anti-klitschko fans bring it up just as often if not more often.

Maybe that's why they're trying to shift the fight to Germany? Something in the water in London perhaps :think

It depends on who's involved. Mike Tyson was a voluntary defence for Bruce Seldon, but he got payed alot more, despite being the challenger and not mandatory, because he's drawing the fans.

In this case, Klitschko has been a big draw for years and Haye has drawn one good crowd in his life, so he undoubtably deserves more money. I havent seen anything but specultion on who is offering what, but in my opinion if Haye Really thinks he can win he should take the short end now, because he'll make plenty should he beat Wlad.

Sorry - that's awfully damn simplistic. Does WALD know that as much wine goes into his CHEF as those special recipes during meal prep? :yep

Not necessarily so at all. Some voluntaries earn considerably more than that rate. It is a function of the perceived value of the challenger and their potential contribution to receipts that matters most. I'd suggest that's why Klitschko is apparently backtracking on venue now. It takes a significant part of Hayes' "earning appeal" off the table in one cold, ruthless move. :D

:goodAgree I think their argument is that Klitschko doesn't have to fight Haye.He could handpick an opponent or fight another mandatory is their point I believe

He could. He would also lose a ton of face (no insult intended VITLAY :yep) if he did so. Imagine the ruckus around here from the mob wearing "hater shades" if he backed down now over some $$$. Hell, I could retire on what he made alone in that farce against Thompson.

Goddamn, the only thing more frightening than that ocean of sweat splatter in your avatar was the sound when the right landed. :admin

I am going to laugh when the fight does not happen and Haye fights another handpicked opponent like he did Barrett and gets KOed.

If that happens he will lose millions and he will have nobody to blame but himself.
