From looking at the last family photo we saw here, I think he's in his teens and looked a bit younger then his sister. It would be grand if Poland had the first ever top men's tennis player. It would be darn awesome if Golota's son were that person too. Not exactly following his dad's footsteps, is he?

Guys, I need a little help here.

What were some of Golota's unusual antics outside the ring?

Impersonation a police officer is one that immediately jumps to mind, but I know I am forgetting others.

Casual fan to die-hard fan? Is there any difference?
Another word for a die-hard fan is a nuthugger. I am a proud *******, and a nuthugger as well as per ESB's lingo.:lol::lol:

This isn't much, but its something. That time I met him before the Bastings fight, he & his buddys walk out of a restaurant after having his pre-fight meal around 5pm. I'm just standing there watching him, in awe & he pulls a yo-yo out of his pocket & starts playing with it. One time when he flipped it down, one of his friends hit the string & messed him up. He looked right at me & said, "he broke it" & I told him we'll just have to get him a new one. He laughed & that was the only thing Golota ever said to me.

I think you misunderstood my meaning.

What I meant, was, that before becoming a Golota fan, I would watch boxing on television every now and again, but couldn't care less if I missed a big fight or whatnot.

After I became a Golota fan, I almost never miss a big fight and try to watch boxing whenever it is on. I also began becoming more interested in the sports history, and began acquiring older fights on tapes and reading up on older fighters who predated my interest, which started casually in the mid-80s.

Great story, JETSKI, thanks for sharing!

    :good

As it turns out, I was able to dig up a bit of info. Mainly, the big one I had forgotten was the weapons charge. Regardless, I am done with my latest piece.

Keep an eye out on the front page this afternoon.

I remember reading Lou Duva telling a story about when he first started training Golota, they took him to a buffet. Golota didnt speak good English at time and apparently didnt understand that buffet meant you only pay once. Golota kept going back to the cashier to pay every time he'd get another plate of food until Duva finally told him "Andrew, what the hell are you doing? You only pay once!"

That's all i can think of now but I'll do some brain storming and try and think of some others.
