Haters f*ck off, this is a place for fans of the boxer who divides opinion like no other. The wonderful, undefeated Pride of Wales, Joe Calzaghe. The door no one could unlock. The lock which shape shifted at will. Joe Calzaghe, you have been a total pleasure to follow over the years. Many, many thanks for some fantastic memories.

    Much respect and love,

    Chris

He beat two of my favorite fighters. Respect nonetheless.

  7. Yeh best SMW of all time, what an achivement In a division only 20 years old:think

I'll give him respect for a decent career, good wins against Kessler and Lacy....Other than that not much to write home about

Respect. Good career, but should be exiting this sport leaving no shadow of a doubt as to how good he really was. That's not the case but he's still a remarkable fighter.

I think Calzaghe did enough. I dont think he'd get the true respect he deserved, no matter if he defeated Hopkins or Jones again, even in better fashion than he did. He got out at the right time. He could have fought other middleweights, lightheavyweights, but it wouldnt make a difference.

I don't think he beats Roy prime for prime.

Just going by resume though, there's not even an argument here.

He wa san excellent boxer but an underachiever in terms of what he did and what he could have done.
