    Man, all the fights you're referring to took place over a year and 7 months, alot can happen in between 19 months.

    Dammit what's wrong with you people? Question is who ended their career on a high note.

    JC fought Bhops and RJJ before he retired . . . PBF fought Hatton and DLH before running away instead fo fighting real 147 pounders. Hatton is a blown up 140 pounder and DLH is an aging 154 pounder. :deal

    So who?

    :lol::rofl:lol::rofl

    Look FMJ should have fought the top guys at 147 but his resume is better than JCs. JC's best win is against Mikel Kessler FFS!!! Even though Eubank was inactive, past his prime and weight drained that was still a good win for Joe.

    I used to be a JC fan years ago until it became clear he was happy to take on the creme de la cream of euro trash. I'm not saying JC isn't talented, he clearly is! But when I think of his career its more of what could have been.

    My opinion too. The OP asked which was a higher NOTE, not who left the best body of work or any other such thing. I say KO'ing the red hot and P4P Ricky Hatton, is better than beating up Roy in 2008, when in his 2007 book Joe said he would NEVER fight Roy because he's only a shell of his former self.

    Verdict= Mayweather.

    You have a point! But the combined age of JCs last two opponents is around 83!! He beat the shot ghost of RJJ and got a split decision against a mid forties popkins.

    i say joe, seen as though mayweather hasnt really fought any proper welterweights. Not to mention joe has been champion for over a decade and floyd has taken the easier option every time. Floyd aint intrested in fighting the best, hes only intrested in $. Where as you can say calzaghe has fought every legit opponent. and dont say dawson, please.

    Your right, I got a little carried away. Its just so frustrating watching a talent like Calzaghe waste it for all those years. Okay who went out on a higher note..... Well does that mean last 2, 3, 4 or 5 fights?

    not really. hatton was a light welterweight, not a welterweight. you must be in denial, as calzaghe clealy beat hopkins and jones. but thats irrelevant. calzaghe fought the best opponents in his division and the best opponents available, mayweather didnt. not to mention hopkins is higher in p4p ratings than hatton. mayweather is a ****in joke as far as having balls is concerned.

    Mayweather went from 130-154. He was THE champion of 130, 135 and 147 (although he didn't fight the best welterweights). Now Calzaghe defended the WBOgus belt in Wales for almost a decade beating the likes of Mcantire, Mario Veit, Mkrchian and Manfredo yeah real good competiton. He then goes to the US and fights a ghost, a pensioner, gets hurt in both fights and then retires triumphant. Yes thats true greatness.

    Calzaghe ended his career with back to back wins over Kessler, Hopkins, and Roy Jones. That's a nice note especially when you compare it to the rest of his career.

    Floyd was a monster early in his career and really had dipped once he moved up in weight and around the time he retired.

    For me its a no-brainer. As a whole Floyd's career is better, but Calzaghe ended it on a high note much much more.
