This is not a hate thread, I'm just interested in what the majority opinion of true Floyd fans regarding that fight is.

Some of my most favourite fighters are Pacquiao, Hopkins and Jones.

I accept Pacquiao's defeat to Morales 100%, he was beaten fair and square on the night by the better man.

I accept that Marquez should have won the decision in the second Pac fight, I scored it to JMM by a point.

I do not accept Hopkins's loss to Calzaghe, I strongly believe Hopkins won the fight by a point.

I do not place any value in Jones's losses to Tarver and Johnson, because Roy was shot by then.

I have included these statements to show that I take each case on its merits, and have different opinions on some fights than the actual result or the obvious value of the result, as I'm sure Floyd fans do too.

What was YOUR opinion on that fight?

Please vote and comment dudes :bbb

i honestly though floyd lost that fight. he did win the rematch. One of the toughest fights to score. You can watch it 100 times (I have the whole fight and I did) and pick a different outcome. one day its floyd winning, one day is castillo winning, one day its a draw.

I thought it was a close fight that could have gone either way but PBF was injured. When healthy in the rematch he won clearly.

I had Castillo shaving it by one or two points; not a massive robbery.

Floyd won the fight. It was close, the closest he's ever come to losing, but he won it fairly.

    again? okay.

At best for Floyd, 1st fight was a draw. I felt castillo edged it. No way did mayweather deserve the W.

he won the fight. I didnt think it was that close at all, I had it 7-4-1 for Mayweather. I think Berto-Collazo was way closer than Mayweather-Castillo.

I agree with PAC loosing fair and square with EM but I thought PAC clearly won against JMM in the 2nd fight by 2 rounds. I feel Nard lost by a point with Joe simply b/c he showed no urgency against a man who was out hustling him throughout the fight althought doing more damage with far less output.

But to me....it's hard to say with JLC beating Floyd fair and square.....I thought he did the night I watched it but if Floyd was hurt then that has to come in to play. only b/c in the rematch Floyd was "healthy" and completely dominated...well...outclassed JLC. So there is some evidence to support that Floyd is and was by all means a better boxer and something could have hindered his initial preformance with Castillo. I'd like to give credit to Jose for the win b/c IMO he did win the 1st fight.

Floyd won and it shouldn't even be disputed, Castillo didnt start landing anything until the 6th putting floyd 5points up right away, Floyd then fought 50-50 down the stretch

my point was it is a close fight. I've seen it live and have it on my pc. Unlike most others i have been watching floyd's career for a long time
