With the retirement of Calzaghe I was just wondering who his fans might cross over to now. Plus I was just wanting to get a Brit Forum consensus, to see what the lay of the land is like in here.

There may be some big fans of mid-level fighters or young prospects, but I'm going to concentrate on a core of five who have already made a dent in world-class or have a better than average chance of doing so. In the poll I have included some of the top names at the moment: Haye, Hatton, Enzo Mac (mainly for Flint to vote for) and Froch. I've put Khan in as a wildcard because he is a marque name already (SKY PPV:twisted:), and so that the noobs won't get angry. The "other" option I have reserved for guys like Cook, Arthur, Woods, Witter etc who have had a taste of world title action but probably aren't going to be genuine world-class in the future(although I admit this is a very fluid term these days in boxing and hard to define). You might like all British fighters and want them all to win, nothing wrong with that; but, there is always a favourite, and I want that top-dog.

    So, lets be having ya.

Who is your favourite "established" British fighter at the moment?

None of them grab my attention like Calzaghe did, I find it difficult to choose any.

I'd become a fan of Khan and vigorously fight his corner after each humilation before I did that.

I suppose if I really had to choose I'd take Haye. He's very vulnerable though.

David Haye but he was before Joe.C retired.

Saying that I like most of them, Froch gets on me tits and Enzo seems a bit thick but seems a decent bloke.

Calzaghe is 1 but now gone
Hatton/Haye equally. Haye's more skillful i know We love to watch him fight, me and the missus (funnily enough he's the only fighter she seems to watch..)
Hattons a Marauder crossed with a nice bloke IMO he's some underated skills by some(my son loves Ricky too)
Froch has some shots in his arsenal that he didn't tap into vs Pascal,he didn't get the chance more like.
Khans speed and precision gets me sometimes his fists just home in on fighters, everyone jabbers on his jaw but those arms are pistons.

Those are the classiest fighters in the country IMO so far ,I like Arthur,Thaxton,Skelton:hey,Murray etc + Ryan Rhodes :]

    I vote Haye

David Haye with Froch, surprisingly, a close second. It looks like Haye will be fighting the number one heavyweight in the world in June and Froch will be going to America to fight Taylor. Great to see boxers chasing big fights, wanting to prove themselves against the best.

Looks like Haye all the way so far.

However, Betty's forthcoming vote for Hatton will bring him up a notch.

David Haye. I like most British boxers though.
Hatton, Macca, Rhodes, Thaxton, I'm very much enjoying British boxing right now.
