That's what I believe happened too. I think he was like why risk the big payday for a decent one.

There may be some truth to the rumors of Haye having hand problems also.

Just like WALDO picked Rahman because he didn't want to jeopardize his last big payday against the Hayematrix, you mean :hey:hey:hey

Wlad was all ready to KO his mandatory and then Povetkin goes & gets injured. He was going to do the honorable thing..............Rahman was the next highest ranked HW in the IBF at the time.

Whether or not Rahman was truly worthy of that spot is another story and something Wladimir has no control over anyway.

Rahman knocked out Lewis, let's not make like he was a complete joke. He always had a good striaght jab & great power in his right. Not the fastest guy & his chin ain't exactly iron. :yep

He was no threat to Wlad in that fight.I don't blame him for taking the fight at relatively short notice, but it was clear his best years were well behind him.He was never that good anyway in my eyes.James Toney has a win against him. That NC is bollocks

A few years back he was, PERHAPS but this version of Rahman is quite pathetic. The UK commentators were practically begging he retire after he lost to Ruiz a few years ago - the fact that he's still even being considered for title shots shows how pathetic the division is.
