Who do you know that has gotten your respect in a losing effort ... I just read a post about a fighters greatest moment ... and it got me to thinking one of Vitali Klitschko's best moments was against Lennox Lewis in a loss ... Can you guys name some other fighters that have put fourth their best moment in a loss ... Rather they came back from losing or went out on their shield.
Morales v Pacquiao II ... I think even though Morales lost ... he didn't get on his bicycle - he went "heads up" with Pacquiao - rather he got knocked out or not ... he was going to go out on his shield.
Jermaine Taylor versus Kelly Pavlik 2. Many expected another KO loss for Taylor but he made it an incredibly close fight and looked much improved technically from his last fight.
Jeff Lacy v Joe Calzaghe. I have no idea why he came out for the last few rounds. He was completely outclassed and it can be argued that Calzaghe totally broke him, but he never gave up and never stopped trying. He even had enough self-belief to protest the knockdown in the final round. Jeff Lacy wasn't nearly fast enough or good enough, but by God his balls are made of steel. A true warrior.
John Mugabi against Hagler Arguably Billy Conn's greatest moment was how well he did against Joe Louis, despite the final result. Duran recieved a lot of respect in his loss to Hagler Azumah Nelson against Salvador Sanchez Barrera against Morales and Morales against Barrera
