I think he just knew he was beat...he got hammered that last round. The referee said that he thought he could go and so did the doctor but at the last second, Diamond decided not to come out.
Well he didnt want to take out his mouthpiece, if he couldnt breathe out of his nose he would of want that thing off as fast as possible to breathe through his mouth. Diamond quit, he was going to get knocked out and knew it.
I can see why though, he moves well - probably just getting on a bit now, he taken a few rounds and was the agressive fighter for most the night, a tough fighter, he taken some nice hits early.. Great fight, id like to see how De Marco handles someone of his own advantages, he would need to be more agressive, promising enough though.
Yes he is. That long reach and variety of power shots could make this guy a serious player in the division. He showed a good chin too.
