yes so he can finish. you don't train that long and take a beating like that, keep standing that long and not be allowed to finish.

I predicted a Darchinyan UD win. I was so close.

The ref's a doctor though. He knows what he's doing.

Arce was cut and did not look good in the 11th round. Then again they let Margarito continue even after taking some pretty brutal shots...

I say he should have at least given him a shot and stop if it became apparent that he could not continue.

Right..... But Margarito was the champion. Usually they don't stop champions that easy.

i work in the medical field, and no man should take those kind blows to the head repeatedly. one more round could have meant life and death for arce.

They are a bit more lenient with champs that I agree. They let David Diaz suffer a brutal beating before he finally keeled over.

In any case it was the referees call. Its not like Arce was throwing back with a very real chance of getting a surprise ko so I'm not too disappointed whether he stopped it or let it go for one more round.

Good stoppage. Arce was only in there to get hurt in the 12th.

Yeah he was eating those uppercuts like candy. Vic was hurting him since round 1. Arce has a punch too. He reminds me of Margarito....his punches dont look that hard..but they seem to hurt the other guy even when they partially land......... some more .......

The ref gave Arce plenty of opportunity. It could easily have been stopped earlier.
