Great performance from Vic. Mario Lopez and that other chump delivered some of the most biased commentary I've ever seen. The way they were acting you'd think Arce was still somehow in the fight at the end there. The ref saved him from another pointless round of beating. Absolutely no need for a rematch.

If a Donaire fight can't happen then Vic should jump up to super bantam for a fight with Vazquez.

    Agreed

Arce was walking about 30 seconds after the fight was called off, and the small cuts weren't bleeding and they didn't even have any vaseline on them. An accumulation punch stoppage is my guess.

Scores were 109-100 on all cards after the 11th.

little bit harsh on Arce there but Vic was a head by a mile. After a quick check back I had Vic up by 7 going into the last

Or if Fernando Montiel beats Eric Morel for the vacant WBO Bantamweight title in March he can fight him. I think Montiel would give him a hell of a fight, maybe even beat him.

I agree but I still can't get over how biased Lopez's commentary toward Arce was. He was talking about a rematch and all sorts. I don't normally mind that team but clearly Arce is one of their favourites. That was a one sided beating for the second half of the fight and Arce was showing signs of distress in that 11th round.

Absolutely although I think I'd like to see Montiel-Mijares at bantam before a Vic fight.

I got this one right, a rareity for me this year. Arce did cause him some early trouble. I think it was round 3, Darchinyan was definitely a wee bit hurt.

It started to get less and less competitive. I thought the stoppage would come in 10 but I'll take 11.

    Good fight!

So, presumably, you wouldn't like to see a fight between the two then?

I think SBW might be a step too far for Vic. Don't think his power will carry up and while he is an awkward customer I think he'd need that power to keep the top class SBW's from steaming right into him. I'd like to see him fight Montiel. And maybe Penelosa (after he gets banjoed by Juanma). If he beats Montiel and Donaire (in whichever order) and PacMan slips up then I think Vic has to have a real shout for P4P #1

SouthpawSlayer, you only had Vic 2 up after 10!!!!

I gave him EVERY round. The only round you could give to Arce is the 3rd and Vic didnt enough to win that in my eyes

Had it 11 rounds to 0.....couldnt see it any other way despite any dramatics by the com's

    Picked TKO10, not too bad

I wasn't necessarily suggesting Vic could beat Vazquez but the man (Darchinyan) himself has shown interest in the fight. Apparently they used to spar together and Vic fancies the job. Regardless of your stance it seems to me this would be a good, money spinning fight for Vazquez once he comes back from eye surgery. I think most would agree he deserves that, and if Vic is up for the challenge then more power to him.
