Im interested in everyone's Top 10 favourite fighters. Perhaps this should be in the General Forum but theres alot of guys that just want to argue and call you names in there, which i think is ridiculous. Im a guy that likes opposing opinions, it makes me think about things, and i respect the opinion's of the Brit Forum far more than the General forum. There is no right or wrong in this, everyone will have a different list and nobody can judge you on your list. I'm interested in each member's Top 10 fighters of all time, you can just give a Top 10 or you can explain each pick .. Heres mine .. 1. Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns The most exciting fighter that ive ever seen. With Hearns it was 'Destroy' or 'Be Destroyed' .. An underrated boxer with an open defence that led to claims of a glass chin .. Dominated Leonard in '81 before he ran out of steam and Ray showed his class. Beat the feared Cuevas, Ko'd Duran in 2 and fought Hagler in perhaps the most exciting 3 rounds of all time. What a career, what a fighter .. He wasnt the best but everybody remembers 'The Hitman' 2. Erik Morales His first fight with Barerra should be remembered as the greatest fight of the last 20 years. I've heard people compare it to Castillo v Corrales 1 but thats bull****, it was far better. Unbeatable at Super-Bantam, the knock out of Angel Chacon was one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen in a ring. ********* the current p4p number 1 Manny Pac when well past his best, yeah he lost the next 2 to Pac but Morales was a far better all round fighter than Pac in my opnion. It was a true privalege to watch Morales fight .. 3. Joe Louis One of the hardest hitting heavyweights of all time, up there with Tyson, Dempsey and Frazier although not quite with Foreman. Louis's skill to get close to his opponent and find the leverage for them short knockout shots was extrordinary .. Tyson, Dempsey and Frazier were more flamboyant in they're punches but Louis was just as effective .. His 2 min demolition of Schmelling, his KO of Max Baer and his total destruction of Jimmy Braddock show what he was about .. A heavier puncher than Ali but didnt have Ali's resume or movement. Joe Louis is my favourite heavy but Ali is probably better 4. Ricardo Lopez Unbeaten minimum/light flyweight division .... 52 fights from 1985 to 2001, only 1 draw which he avenged. Not many people are interested in this division but for 'True' boxing fans, Ricard Lopez was the real deal .. When you watch a Lopez fight the sheer class is obvious .. He didnt earn anything like his peers who were more hyped. but for me he was up there with Floyd and Pernell as the greatest fighter of the last 20 years 5. Carlos Monzon The undisputed greatest middleweight of all time. Some people say Hagle, some people say Ketchel, some jokers say Hopkins. There is only 1 king of the middleweight division and that is Monzon. In his reign he took out brilliant, tough fighters in Benvenuti and Benny Briscoe plus hall of famer Emile Griffiths and ultimately the dangerous colombian hitman Rodrigo Valdez .. In the 2nd fight Valdez hits Monzon with one of the biggest shots ive ever seen, right down the pipe, Monzon gets up straight away and out boxes him .... Boxing wants to forget about Carlos Monzon because he was an animal outside of the ring, treated women like **** and eventually murdering his wife. As a fighter he was un-surpassed at 160 6. Sugar Ray Leonard Arguably the greatest fighter of the last 30 odd years although how anybody can argue is beyond me .. Leonard was involved in 3 of the greatest fights of all time against Benitez, Duran 1, and Hearns 1 .. his return with Duran and his showdown with Hagler will also live long in the memory .. People love to hate Leonard which i laugh at because it shows they're ignorance .. Leonard was a fighter with skills, chin, heart, stamina and he always had the 'flash' that the crowd loves .... Calzaghe wishes he had what Leonard had but very few do .......... 7. Evander Holyfield In some of the greatest fights ive ever seen, Bowe trilogy, before that Dokes and Qawi (cruiser) .. The man with the most indesructible heart in boxing .. Written off so many times but always came back to show his doubters what a true fighting man is all about .. The 10th round against Bowe will always live in the memory as a highlight of his career, as will his destruction of the feared Mike Tyson in a brutal 1 sided demolition .. Everyone was afraid of Tyson, everyone except Evander Holyfield who showed Tyson what a true battle hardened fighter was all about .. Past his prime against Lewis but still competitive .. Lewis against a younger Holyfield would have been compelling and i'd go with the warrior Evander every time .. 8. Mike McCallum The most under-rated fighter of the last 30 years .. Beat our much loved Steve Collins, Herol Graham and Michael Watson. In my opinion would have beaten Eubank and Benn too .. A brilliant body puncher and a technically awesome fighter, he never got the credit he deserved .. The 'Bodysnatcher' was from Jamaica, not Britain or USA, so obviously the hype wasnt there but as much as we brits love to look back on the early 90s, it was McCallum that beat 3 of our guys and the other 2 wouldnt face him .... 9. Ezzard Charles Perhaps (undoubtedly for me) the greatest light-heavy of all time with Archie Moore, Bob Foster and Spinks although Spinks destroyed his legacy with that weak-willed attempt with Tyson. Ezzard Charles beat Archie Moore 3 times, Charley Burley twice, Joey Maxim twice and Jersey Joe Walcott at Heavyweight .. To beat Archie Moore 3 times is an acheivement that should never be forgotten .... 10. Roberto Duran Must be in the top 10 P4P of all time. Once described as a 'Panamanian Street Dog' .. A man that won world titles from lightweight to middleweight in a 25 year career. One of the greatest lightweights of all time steps up to Welter to face Ray Leonard in Montreal and beats him in one of the greatest displays of fighting of all time .... Quits in the re-match, is hated by the boxing fraternity but then after losing a few he beats the highly rated Davey Moore, then gets sparked out in a brutal 2 round demolition by Hearns. Everybody by this point thinks its over for Duran and he should retire but 5 years down the line a 37 year old Duran faces the dangerous Iran Barkley at Middleweight and Duran beats him, knocking Barkley down in the process .. Duran wasnt the most consistent of fighters but he was a 'once in a lifetime' kind of fighter .... Thats my top 10 favourite fighters of all time, oh man what a list of warriors that is .......

I wouldn't like to think about an order, apart from my favourite... Carlos Monzón - I love his style of rangy, almost lazy outboxing. Every punch is thrown with a perfect vision of range and timing, with great power to go with it. On the inside he is more than capable. My favourite ever style, and a pure bad ass. Henry Armstrong Archie Moore Ezzard Charles Nicolino Locche Pernell Whitaker Roberto Duran Eder Jofre Miguel Canto Mikkel Kessler :bbb
