There was mention of the fight last night. I said that talks are taking place. Michael is lined up for the show on Thursday. I hope that we know by then!

    Adios.

Let's hope Setanta gets the fight, Sky Sports never ever mentions Michael Jennings so they don't deserve the fight.

It is not the most attractive fight for Setanta to spend big bucks on as Mike (through no fault of his own) is little known by the man on the street.

The Pavlik fight on the same night might not be part of the package and there is also the fear that Mike will be blasted out after a couple of rounds, and Bunce and co will then be left with plenty of airtime to fill.

Have alway been a fan of Jennings and feel his sound boxing ability and superb fitness will ensure he causes a few problems until at least the middle rounds. He is unlikely to stand and trade as Gary Lockett unwisely chose to do against Pavlik.

This is the perfect time to face Cotto because he is coming off an absolute shellacking by Margarito. If Jennings can get behind his his jab and use good movement to frustrate Cotto then who knows what could happen?

That is a bad move by setanta then if talks are taking place because they even had an advert on TV about the 'double-bill' with the Pavlik fight. Plus there was a countdown on the setanta website (don't know if it is still there) for the fight.

yeah i had itchy feelings about this, but wasn't it confirmed like 2 weeks ago that tthe full bill is on the go? I hope we get it in its entirety. What other fights are to be shown on that card?

yeh they have had it on there schedule and they said it was going to be on. not good.

the worst part is if they just show the fights from ohio and none of the new york card. thats got john dudy and anthony peterson on it.

I thought Setanta had a deal with Top Rank?
Cotto/Pacquiao/Pavlik/Margarito all fight on Setanta no?

    Yes but my understanding is:
    - excludes bout where a British fighter has his own TV deal
    - Warren has TV deal with Sky
    - Warren promotes Jennings

So, the legal wrangling is about whether Jennings 'has a TV deal'. :deal

Legal bollocks. I'm not going to worry too much, it will be shown somewhere, hopefully setanta.

Thanks, Cotto vs Jennings is really the fight i want to see,

I'm a big Cotto fan but hope Michael doesn't get Destroyed over there because he seems like a good guy.
