I think Mayorga. Most def Mayorga before Tito. At 147 Mayorga was a beast and is probably Forrests worst nightmare. Margo can take a shot as well but Mayorga has fought the harder punchers.
The left hook the Oscar landed in the first round was a bomb. Or in Oscars words "quite a wallop" Ill never forget that knockdown.
I remember Mayorga saying Vargas hit VERY hard in their fight which was at like super middleweight......
I don't agree with the vote. Mayorga let Trinidad (Who's gloves were probably filled with illigal wrapping) sock him square upside the head and still came back for more.
Not nearly as much....At least as I recall, and I've never seen Shane really sit down on his punches as much as he did against Margarito. Mayorga is getting a lot of extra credit here for sticking his chin out and letting Trinidad hit him, but how did that fight end? Trinidad TKO 8. DLH knocked his ass down three times and TKO'd him in 6. Mosley knocked his ass down with a single right hand and then knocked his ass out with a single left hook. Yeah, Mayorga has fought the better comp, but the best of them knocked his ass out.
hehe a past it Mayorga almost went the distance with Shane. Can't say the same for Margo. Of course Margarito took a lot more leather in his fight with Shane.....
Margarito gets ko'd in the 4 by Trinidad, to be honest. Shane is a beast, but Trinidad is the bigger puncher at 147. Mayo, on the other hand, fought Trinidad when he was in his prime and Trinidad was not far removed from his prime. And it took 8 rounds for Trinidad to KO him. After that fight he was never really the same to honest, fighters were never the same if they sat in front of Trinidad and absorbed punishment. When Oscar get to him he was damaged.
