Any american fighter that fights a european fighters and loses but doesnt get knocked out...IE Henry, who got mad hype by European fans after his fight with Diaconu, even though many many of us told them before and after that Henry was a bum...I have seen it happen time and time again on boxing web sites over the years...Lee Barber was a total bum in the States, fighting on the midwest scene, in high school gyms, before going over to Europe and beating a couple of hype jobs He was the greatest american cruiser of all times I had one poster tell me...Richard ****ING Hall the human punching bag became a great fighter after giving Daruisz M a tough fight... Byron Mitchell after dropping Calzaghe...Andrade after his fight with Kessler...I could go on and on...But Im abit off the subject....


Fighter that comes to mind in then instance is two for me....David Kamau after he pretty much fought Chavez to a draw only to lose a lopsided dec on the cards...

Wilfredo Rivera for losing to Whitaker...

ERIK EL TERRIBLE MORALES. VS. PacMan II. even the 3rd fight.

first time that erik was stopped but you got hand it to the man. he was a proud warrior recognizing that the end was near. (i think he won over david diaz)

the third fight, he came to fight toe to toe with pac even though it was clear he was a bit drained but more so because he was against top opposition. and he did not run to survive. he came to fight, and yet he lost. but still has my respect.

 

I agree w/everthing above.

 

It was a good fight, I think it is overshadowed by all the fanboys on each side arguing over who won and thus can't enjoy it.
