One of the best light-heavies ever, and pulled off the greatest feat ever by a light-heavy champ when he upset Holmes for the title.

After winning the heavyweight title, he gradually became fat, lazy, and semi-inactive, and only came back for a payday vs. Tyson.

And it was a totally bull**** decision, Holmes easily should have taken the decision that night.

Spinks quit after Tyson, because what was the point? Tyson would beat him all day, any day and every day. Spinks got out while the getting was good.

Tyson was so dominant at the time and Spinks was knocked out pretty quick. I think Spinks knew he would have a hard time explaining how he could be champion again. I am not sure if that is the reason but the best thing I could come up with. He was an ATG fighter. If he were 240 pounds when he fought Tyson, he would have stopped Mike in 8 rounds. He was greater than Mike as far as skill.

no he wouldn't he wouldnt have carried that sort of weight well and it would have hindered his lateral and upper body movement which made him the effective/awkward fighter he was
