Antonio Margarito has drawn another capacity crowd after selling out Staples Center Jan. 24 for his unsuccessful world welterweight title defense against Shane Mosley.
This time, a crowded room including boxing promoters Bob Arum, Richard Schaefer and Dan Goossen. They all packed into a state building room in Van Nuys to observe the California State Athletic Commission meeting that will determine if Margarito's tainted hand wraps suspension will be extended.
Margarito's hand wraps were removed before the Mosley fight for containing what state authorities later identified as a "foreign substance."
Margarito, represented by attorney Daniel Petrocelli, will argue the case that he had no knowledge what was contained in his hand wraps, placed upon him by trainer Javier Capetillo, who, like Margarito, is under temporary suspension. An extended suspension could jeopardize plans for Margarito's tentatively scheduled June 13 rematch against Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto.

Oh dear that seems like a poor excuse......

They should lift the suspension and simply allow Cotto to wrap rocks in his wraps this time. Fair is fair. Hopefully, Margarito's career will be over when it is said and done.

If the trainer takes the fall it's already been planned, you know it, I know it. Would be a real shitty thing to do but I could see it happeing.

From all appearances....Capetillo will fall on his sword as he is being pushed under the bus.

The illegality is not in question....the culpability is being assigned.

And who can put on a more stupid and dumb look on their face better
    than Margie?

I didn't know what was on the wrappings....they felt hard as bricks though

I'm pretty sure that all that was on Margarito's mind was Shane Mosley ... I believe it --

His only way out is to blame the trainer.
It wont be so bad if he comes back minus the loaded gloves and fights the likes of cotto and cintron .Cotto can fight him on a level playing field..

Thats bull**** if he fought Cotto with loaded gloves, he ****ing beat the **** out of Cotto, and probably won't be coming back the same fighter he once was, they should kick him out of boxing for life.
