I told their marketing director (Via message) that is was Bull**** that We, the Fans, are being charged 39.95 to watch "Latin Fury VI" or whatever the number, to watch Julio Jr. against yet another handpicked opponent to try and up the number of his Undefeated Victories. This is an HBO BAD fight AT BEST, and at average, an Univision, or ESPN FNF fight. Same thing with Pavlik and Cotto. I also invited any Top Rank Representative, including Arum himself, to call "On the Grind" on Thurs or Sunday, and explain to Suge and Co. why Top Rank feels that they can charge the Average Working Stiff/Boxing Fan 40 Bucks to watch an ESPN 2 Level Fight in this Economy, when Obama is touring the Nation talking about the Recession. Comments, thoughts, ESB?
lmao word... they probably just put you on speaker phone and bob arum and a group of people were sitting around a table laughing there asses off at you
Possibly, but it's all over the press and embarrassing for Top Rank. Check out some of the Press Secions at Fight News. :good
If BAD was willing to pick up this card then Top Rank would jump at the opportunity but since no network is willing to do it because it doesn't attract a broad enough audience, Arum is putting it on PPV because he knows he can get enough ppl to buy it to still make money. Its one of those cases where the people who will watch it will pay for it, and the people who won't pay for it wouldn't watch it anyways
you should record your conversations, with any of the company guys you get a hold of, and then post them here on esb..
