on the talks of good streaks

terry norris first riegn consists of 2 numero unos (leonard and curry), dangermen mugabi, vaca, jacquot, and top tier fighters in taylor,mo blo, daniels.

on the subject, for some reason there has been a revival in the norris fan club, it was less than a year ago that it was only me and rooster who talked about him....dont tar me with the same brush i'm not like rooster :)

If you are looking for big unbeaten numbers you will go some to beat the December 1989 night Julio Cesar Chavez (66-1.... sorry Mr King... 67-0) beat Alberto Cortes (44-0).

Eddie Booker was undefeated for his first 40-50 fights (I forget exactly how many).

Kid Chocolate won his fight 160-plus fights, combined amateur and pro.

Ray Robinson also won something like his first 169 fights, amateur and pro.

Often overlooked is that Jimmy Wilde has the record for the longest unbeaten streak at the start of a pro career, in 100-something fights (Showtime used to always incorrectly give Chavez credit for that record).

Henry Armstrong at his peak scored about 30 straight KOs.

Esch was never unbeaten for too long, was he?

Mitchell Rose stopped him when Esch was 15-0 and actually a decent weight (For him) at 300 pounds.
