You're article is called Britains top feathers, now I dont think its just me who considers Appleby a superior fighter to Derry and Lindsay. Forget record for the second, there is no way Paul is only the fourth best at the weight in the UK. No danger. Yes he has a better name on it, but despite the loss, I think Simpson is a better boxer than Foster. My opinion. If we were ranking by resume then I'd probably have your order, but in terms of talent and claiming 'britains top feather', I just don't think Derry and Lindsay are as good as Paul.

I'd put Appleby above both Lindsay and Matthews at this moment in time.

Personally I wouldn't class Choi as British either, but there you go.

I think Jeff's case is that he lives in Oldham and probably has UK citizenship, plus he's fought out of the UK for years. But personally I still think of him as Mongolian seeing as he was born there and is of Mongolian heritage.

Thats cool, I think he'd beat Lindsay and a fight with Derry would be 60-40 in Derrys favour... I also think Akaash Bhatia would beat Paul Truscott again, but If we are going to just hypothetically rate fighters based on what we believe them to be capable of as opposed to their career achievements then things are going to look pretty silly when we have Tyson Fury as the number one Heavy after two fights. Ratings are based on A) achievement and then B) theory..... Thats pretty much the case for all ratings.

He fights British fighters though ? When he does...........

Is he able to fight for the British belt ?

Dont really have any arguments with this list, i could but then i aint experienced enough to go on and on and on and...........

This list for me is just the current fighter's at the weight (if they still are), not a top ten.

Choi is based in Oldham.... fights almost exclusively in the UK... If a fighter is trained here and fights here surely they should be included... recently fighters like Sam Soliman and Yuri Romanov were included in the UK ratings by Boxing Monthly.

    Tseveenpurev is Mongolian
    Soliman is Australian.
Romanov is Belarusian (or whatever it is a person from Belarus is called)

    The end. :D

I suppose you COULD make a case for Choi, but how on earth can it be argued that Romanov and Soliman are British?

Soliman is in the UK ratings ? Regarding Choi i presumed he was and can fight for the title just as say Eastman could for example.

Surprised at the Soliman rating tbh. What you think on that yourself JT ?

He fights aussie when he can, sure there aint that many available, ok Mundine AGAIN !!! Am surprised at Boxing Monthly giving him a UK rating though if thats the case. How many times has Sam fought here ?

Are they able to fight for the title ? I dont know, is why i ask. I mean if you are of another country but fight here enough, how are you rated ?

    Cheers

Always wondered as to what made you eligible. What about Takaloo ? My memory aint the best, was he always ruled out of Lonsdale belt fights ?
