Rob Norton. Any good?

Admittedly against I would have liked the 4th round to have been a miute longer. Or for Dolan to come out all guns blazing in the 5th to put him away.

Bar Enzo, Hes lucky hes just the best in what is a poor division.

 

He looked surprised to have got the decision.

 

He has got that mad-eyed stare that makes you think he's a possible Ted Bundy in the making, but I quite like his persona.

He's confident but not overly so and seems like a nice guy behind the bravado.

 

I don't think he was surprised that he won, he was surprised how wide the cards were.

 

Yeah, I think it was pretty clear who had won.

 

He did well to get up from the second knockdown, which was an obvious headbutt.

 

Not 100% sure on that to be honest mate. I rewound it several times and from one angle it looked like he got caught by a cute left hand inside that Norton walked onto.

That was my first instinct though that it was a headbutt.

 

Nah he is not very good at all imo. Shows decent heart but his chin looks suspect. Wont go past british level.

 

I like Norton , he's not a world beater no , but he's been in plenty of exciting fights and always come across well to me .

 

Being British Cruiserweight champion means, by definition, that you are pretty good. Not everything has to be judged beyond domestic level.

 

I like the guy. I must admit to being a Dolan fan but Norton is a very worthy champion and hopefully his time at the top of the domestic scene is a long one. I certainly can not see too many guys ready enough to beat him just yet and although he is well below Haye he is still a very talented fighter.

Haye was by far and away the best cruiser in the world, no one comes close at all. Haye could also be a top 5 heavy with abit of luck.

Enzo still is the guy to aim for for us Brits. Just a shame his career seems to have halted because he can justify a good fight against any top current cruiser. He could probably outbox Frag although it would be tough and non of the other contenders or champs inflict much fear apart from Blow Job.

Norton could look towards a fight with Huck who would probably be open to the fight seen as he his on a slow rebuilding conquest. I do think that Norton is not quite good enough to beat Huck but he is certainly in line for a crack at the guys of that level.
