He only knocked Tito down once, and i'm not sure how much of a "war" it was - he suffered the same fate as most other guys who scored a flash-knockdown of Trinidad - a beating followed by a kayo.

Correct... Stephens, Campus, Carr, Lueshing, Reid, Vargas, Trinidad, Mayorga, Hopkins and Jones all floored Trinidad.....

well, he's already getting Khan to change his body composition, which is a big thing. Then there's lateral movement, timing, punch selection....I could go on.

If you are being stopped by an unknown Colombian who was taken the distance by a journeyman.....

And being decked & hurt badly by much smaller guys or fighters well past their best - don't forget Khan is BIG at the weight..... you ain't getting anywhere.

OK - Roach might be able to improve his defence, but say he gets to European level, Thaxton has knocked out guys with chins five times stronger. Every fighter he faces will have the equaliser.

Khan has excellent handspeed, but doesn't have any power in his punches - he hasn't KO'd anybody yet. A few TKO's and bull**** stoppages don't really qualify.

Bottom line is when you have a chin that bad its time to find a new job. You can be as optimisitc as you like but i saw Khans legs dance when hit by Prescotts jab! Not good at all. No amount Training can cure that.

i think leushing is the better boxer, with the better chin, and defo more 1 punch power.
at least leushing dident fight boxers a weight or 2 below him,who couldent punch for sweeties.
has for roach, not a jack palance of him helping khan

Chin? I just meant improvement as a fighter overall. I failed to read the thread :yep

Anyway, while changing his body composition won't improve his chin, it will help him go down/get wobbled a little less easily - which is similar to improving punch resistance, no?

When I read this I immediately imagined Roach pouring cement into Amir's head. I don't believe his punch resistance will be improved by beefing up in certain areas.

There are similarities between Khan and Leushing, but Kevin's chin was better, and he also hit harder. Khan does seem to have more in the way of natural talent, though.

Punch resistance does improve with age... and fitness.

I think he needs to move up to 140..... being able to eat three square meals in the leadup to a fight may help.

Winning titles at 135 is a pipedream I'm afraid.
