and that applies the other way round. but maybe the people who voted for froch have seen him fight more than once. the same thing happened when calzaghe was not given a chance by the US fans and writers before he fought lacey, not becuase calzaghe was a bad fighter but because most americans hadn't seen calzaghe fight. (i'm not comparing froch to calzaghe talent wise)

if it goes the distance i go for taylor, but i wouldn't be suprised if froch stops him.

Well, Taylor is a proven commodity. He's fought the best in and around his weight class. Can the same be said for Froch? Is Pascal not Froch's best win on his resume? I admit i've only seen Froch fight a couple of times. Not impressed. Nothing stood out. He also keeps his hands low for some reason like he's Roy Jones or something. I guess that will just make it easier for JT to rip him with beautiful combinations like he did against Pavlik 2 and Lacy.

What has Froch done exactly besides beat Pascal to prove that he's on JT's level? Americans vote for JT out of merit. You guys are voting for Froch just because he's a Brit. Therein lies the difference. :hi:

 

The only problem with this analogy is that as you said Froch ain't no Joe C and Taylor's a whole hell of a lot more proven and talented then Lacy.

That being said As many have pointed out here if Froch does beat Taylor in the states it would go down as a majour league victory. And he'd have to be considered behind only Kessler as the ere to the SMW crown.

The same can't be said for Taylor, if he wins it doesn't necessarily mean he's number two in the division.

 

At least you have to admire they way they support there fighters. But yeah brits have a serious case of Bunce-itis of the Brain.

 

Froch is nowhere on JT's level...I've seen both fight many times and the skill level is greatly separated...I'd like to pick Jermain by KO so I did..However he hasn't knocked anyone out for 5 years I think....

 

your talking about 2 boxers at different stages of there career, poor examples on the fighters you chose, lacy is a shell of his former self after our very own JC wooped his ass, pavilik if im not mistaken beat taylor in that fight, do you think froch is gonna just sit there and take combos he will fire back HARD, or at least cover up (unlike lacy),

as for you my american cousin i do think froch will win by KO but i wouldnt be suprised if taylor did win by UD
