Any News on Carl, Im a Mitchell fan but have taken a keen interest in Johanneson. I believe the Leeds man is a little underated and there is still plenty left in the tank for him to come again

I think he will be in training for something, because I haven't seen him around in a while.

hope so, I believe he takes out all the other super feathers by ko. Just needs to get focused. johanneson vs mitchell was a great war, if it was on another channell baring setanta both fighters would get alot more press

lol. I know mitchell rates him highly and it would be a waste if his career was to dwindle out.

yeh i cant imagine Mitchell being british champion beyond 2009 so he should stay busy and get himself in place to fight for the vacant title.

Johanesson has a few things lined up and I would expect a final anouncement to be made pretty soon.

Good demoestic fighter and a tough fight for anyone.

It was shocking how badly he got owned by Kirakosyan, the first time especially.

I think the 1st time was not long after his girlfriend had died/suffered a serious illness.

    The 2nd.... not sure.

I think he has serious confidence issues at times, it looked that way in that fight, and also early on against Mitchell.

I know the rumours/reasons, but largely the Armenian had his number in those fights.

It was surprising the first time because he was in good form, suddenly he fights this 14-4 Eurobum and gets destroyed out of sight. To be fair Kirakosyan has put together a good run since.

Yep. I have been to a fair few of Carl's fights and you can tell what performance he will put in from the second he starts his ring walk. Seen him look very confident and action ready like at the Gomez and Burns fights but also see him look pale and nervous to **** like the Kirakosyan fight. I can remember thinking '****, this is going to be bad' as Carl passed me that night.

Hopefully he gets himself in a good frame of mind for the next few fights and hopefully he has something left in him. I doubt he can do too much any more to be honest and he will be very short for the weight.

I think his chin would let him down at 135.... it is questionable enough at 130.

I hope he does well though, nice kid.
