Nate Campbell the WBO champion has lost the titles on the scales after failing to make weight.

Funeka will pick up the IBF, leaving Barrera as number 1 at Lightweight with the WBO. unless the make Marquez vs Diaz for the vacant title, Khan vs Barerra could be for it.

    1) MA Barrera - fighting Khan
    2) JM Marquez - chasing fights with Pacquiao.
    3) Juan Diaz - Will go down the ratings when he looses to Marquez
    4) Anthony Peterson - fighting next week
    5) Ali Funeka - will fight for IBF
    6) Michael Katsidis - in the goldenboy lightweight tournement so signed up for 2009
    7) Bredias Presscott - will get paid to keep away from khan for life
    8) Amir Khan - fight barerra
    9) Joan Guzman - fighting WBA champion
    10) Jorge Barrios - in the lightweight tournement so signed up until 2010

Barrios is also in the golden boy tourney. This is really convenient isn't it?

    :yep

Even by Franks normal machiavellian standards being able to get Nate to the weigh in 3lbs overweight without him noticing would be quite a feat.

    From the WBO rules:

    Overweight Contestants

If a World Champion fails to make the prescribed weight for his category and the challenger makes weight, the Champion shall lose the title at the scales, and the Championship shall then and there be declared vacant. The Championship may not, however, be won at the scales. The fight shall be carried out as planned, and if the challenger, having made the weight, wins the contest, the challenger shall be the successor of the Championship; but if the prior Champion whose Championship was vacated at the scales wins the contest, the championship shall remain vacant.

If the Champion makes the weight and the challenger fails to do so, the Champion, whether or not he loses the fight, shall retain the title.

If both the Champion and the challenger fail to make weight, the Championship shall not be vacated at the scale and the fight will go forward as a non-title fight and the Champion, whether or not he loses the fight, shall retain the title.

If Khan and Barrera fight for the WBO then as far as im concerned the WBO is the same as the WBU, micky mouse belt. How can a fighter get knocked out like Khan did have one comeback fight and then Box and oldman for a world title

Do those apply to Sports Network fighters, or is scale tampering permitted in that instance?
