The whole boxing world. Thats why after that fight, you seen articles like "how to fix the HW division" & "Is Haye the last hope for the HW division"
Not really. I didn't say that a fight would have to reach those heights for it to be considered "great", but to call Wlad - Thompson great is a stretch for me. :smoke
Klitschko is a very good heavyweight, but were talking about All Time Pound For Pound Number 1 Greatest Boxer There Ever Was Or Ever Will Be - David Haye. So, Haye KO1, of course
That's one way of looking at it....of course the other way would be to say that he laboured to stop a shot to **** former champion who quit in 3 rounds against a fat middleweight in his previous fight. Depends which way you spin it, and the Klit-ites were spinning hard the day after that Rahman fight because 24 hours earlier EVERYONE was saying that Rahman wouldn't go 3 rounds - myself included.
You forgot Toney, I wonder why :think As for giving him credit for that boring as **** performance, yeah he deserves as much credit as Holyfield got for beating Foreman and Holmes. Actually scrub that at least Foreman and Holmes were still good at the time.
first of all...:hi: second... Wlad is not a fast starter. He will always get a knock from guys that expect him to KO guys even before the fight starts yep). Wlad starts his game plan. makes adjustments and when he feels it he puts the combos together. Ask ANY fighter. You cannot just go out and plan for a KO. It comes when it comes. If you press for it, you will do something stupid and might get nailed instead. Each fight is different. to say 1 guy is better because he knocked out the same guy in an earlier round is kinda stupid IMO
Hi Chef :hi: What I'm saying is true though, most people didn't expect Rahman to go 3 rounds, and he was a shell of the fighter he was. I agree that stopping someone quicker than someone else doesn't make you better (try telling that to the other Klit-ites once in a whlie eh?) but when the fighter is as shop-worn as Rahman is at this stage it kind of looks bad when the supposed best fighter in the division takes 7 rounds to finish him, especially when it wasn't even a clean KO to finish. Did he even have Rahman on the canvas in that fight...it was so dull I honestly can't remember :huh
There's been days when I've woken up and expected to see posts like this from myself from the night before.... You have my utmost sympathy
