There is just one answer to this question and it is Tito. He fought some of the best fighters in their prime. Something that Joe for one reason or another never did.

 There we disagree amigo. The young Toney (mw/smw 91-94) was a ****ing genius.

Had that shot not landed on Michael Nunn. :| Honestly, I don't believe in lucky shots eithers - but Nunn was on his way to a points victory, I believe.

Would Toney's career have turned out different?

Selfkill, who do you rate higher Tito or Toney?

Would Toney's career have turned out different if he hadn't knocked out his opponent in one of his biggest fights? Maybe. But the same question can be posed to any fighter regarding any stoppage in history. Toney did not get a dubious points decision - he knocked Nunn out. He won as convincingly and definitively as any boxer can win.

Tito beat some very good fighters in their prime. Same can't be said for JC.

I think Calzaghe had the better career . Tito fought better guys and moved up and down in weight, but Calzaghe beat them all and it is hard to argue with an undefeated record with guys like Eubanks, Hopkins and Jones on the resume

Your one of my favourite posters on here m8 just to let you know.

But, it has to be Calzaghe for me. Someone who changed his entire fighting style and STILL was top of the world. Thats why I will always rate him above many people. its amazing what he done :)

Clearly Calzaghe and by some margin. He never lost, he dominated for a much, much period, he has some quita amazing wins on his resume including Eubank, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins (who schooled Tito) and Jones. Calzaghe was way shot by the time of those last two victories too.

    Calzaghe by a long way.
