hell yea man Katsidis got antsy and got caught by a hayemaker. Casamayor at this point is just older and even more shot, while Katsidis is still young and more experienced.

The only certainty is Barrios beating Hernandez, but i'll go with Valero,Diaz and Katsidis.

Valero might be fun to watch but he is going to get beat when he steps up in class. He is simply too amtuerish and wild in the ring. But he would match up well with some of the other fighters in this tournament. While someone like Casamayor or Diaz would school him.

I think Julio might be a little bit too vulnerable. That and he's past it.

Ting is, if Golden Boy follow up on this (which they can't as Top Rank has already said Valero is excluded from future Golden Boy cards ) it could genuinely create some intriguing matchups.

Hopefully Valero will struggle a bit against Pitalua and Arum will delay matching him up with Pac. Valero vs. Casamayor or Katsidis sound fun to watch, as goes Casamayor-Katsidis 2.

Shame with Prescott's contractual ranglings that he didn't sign for Golden Boy, no doubt they would have chucked him in here. Prescott vs. Katsidis sounds awesome, as does Prescott vs. Valero.

I don't think Valero is anywhere near the star that some have made him out to be but he can make for some really good fights. Valero-Katsidis sounds like a dream fight. You're right about Prescott, he would have fit nicely in this tournament.

Can't rule Barrios out. He vs. Valero (Barrios, super tough, bleeds badly, Valero, apparently a massive puncher, swings wildly) would be a helluva fight, and one that probably should've happened at SFW.

I think Barrios has the easiest match up in Hernandez, he can't have much left in the tank but will still give Barrios trouble. Then with Pituala, I don't know much about him. He beat Santa Cruz who is a tough fight for most and his record looks like he might have some power but its against weak competition and I think he is pushing forty. I don't know how much of a threat he is to Valero but that is part of what makes the card interesting.

I agree entirely. Which is why I'm even more annoyed as there's no way they'll show it over here :patsch

Hernandez is close to shot at this point (funny because I just watched Famoso vs Morales a lil while ago) and Barrios will likely tee off on him over and over.

The one guy who it would've been nice to see in this little shin dig would've been Rocky Juarez. It would've been nice to have seen Joan Guzman somewhere in this thing as well. Perhaps even in place of Jesus Chavez.

Next to Valero, Katsidis has the most to gain in this one. If he beats Chavez, handles Valero and avenges his loss to Casa he can easily position himself for big money against JMM.

Well it's that kinda; thing, where if a series of interesting matches can be made and one guy beats 3 top guys, it's all good.

    It's like a A-level Contender.

You could never do it with The Elites, but with all the genuine 'Contenders' it's a good idea. A JMW version would be good too.

casa is my slight wild card winner. people are getting caught up with katsidis, valero and barrios but casa and diaz are the one who could win the tourny....the only 2 who are lineal champs....if lineal means anything to you.

Julio Diaz is past it though. I think Casamayor has a GREAT chance to do it, I pick him over Valero put it that way.

If Golden Boy think this goes well (Hell, if the tournement ever really goes beyond this card anyways) a 10-stone version would be ****in amazin!

There's enough potential fighters at 154 to pull it off.

See this is great for a division like 154 where there isn't an A list elite there, you can take guys like Martinez, Angulo, Kirkland, Joel Julio, Paul Williams, K9, Sergio Mora and Ishe Smith and whomever left standing is the man as they say.
