According to our local venues website Kell Brook will next defend his British strap in April at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall against Telford's Mark Lloyd.

Bit of a weird one this as Brook was meant to defend against Lloyd recently but the BBBoC put the blocks on it and Stuart Elwell got the fight instead.

Time for Brook to be moved onto Euro level comp. Lloyd is nothing more than an area fighter.

Dunno, think so. He recently lost to Bami in the Prizefighter tourney.

Me too....this fight would be a good indication of how he would fare against Mosely or Cotto.

If he wins this...100% next undisputed WW champ.

    Fantastic.

  8. Ive said before on here that Brook vs Mutley would be an absolute *******!
And if its meant to be in Wolvo then why not make this fight?
I cant understan why Mutley isnt getting a shot, he was meant to fight odonnell in an eliminator and he's now fighting watson!
so surely Mutley should be up for the british title!

Mutleys got Adnan Amar in an eliminator now mate on the undercard to battle of brum macklin vs elcock.

I agree though I think out of the current crop Mutley would give Brook one of his hardest tests.

Once again we get a **** load of hype around a fighter but he only gets very safe fights. No offence to Lloyd but he is not a top 10 welter domestically. Brook could find 4 or 5 good tests in Britain that would set him up for moving onto Euro level but like Khan and Cleverly he is being made to look a complete ****.

If this is true, the secretary (or whoever at the BBBoC who is sanctioning) needs to resign.

Elwell was bad enough, Brook looked really pissed off at the end of that fight because he wasn't tested..... Lloyd wouldn't either.

Someone with a chin would be a start, never mind someone with anything in their fists.

Mutley would be a good fight for Brook but he needs moving up to a new level.I dont think Lloyd will test him any more than elwell did.
