Rounds that Jones allowed himself to get outworked, lets not act as though Tito was ever in the fight all in all Tito never hurt Jones.

The truth is Tito should have stayed retired, and as for the Jones fight every time Jones opened up with an ounce on intent Tito went down.

    Jones carried Tito that night.

lol is this a joke? Trinidad by a mile. Tito fought the best of the best in his prime while Calzaghe was fighting patsies after patsies.

    tito's resume-Hector Camacho-oba carr-pernell whitaker-oscar delahoya-david reid-fernando vargas-williams joppy-ricardo mayorga

loss - hopkins- (Wright-Jones) he was way past his prime in this loss

    Calzaghe resume-Chris Eubank-omar sheika-charles brewer-jeff lacy-sakio bika-manfredo-kessler-----(Hopkins-Jones) -past their prime

look at the opponents trinidad beat and look at calzaghe's opponents..

Trinidad wins this one big time :good

Apparently Calzaghe fans are uncapable of being objective.

When you say it like that, it kind of makes sense. I voted Tito, and I stand by that, he certainly does have a better resume, won more world titles, in more weight classes. But, Calzaghe is a quality fighter as well. Tito takes it terms of overall career, I think H2H abilty Calzaghe edges it.

This is what cracks me up, people slate Calzaghes resume but he fought a lot of tough fighters. Yeah I'd go as far to say on paper Trinidad has the better resume but as a p4p fighter I'd rank Calzaghe as the higher of the two.

They see the world like Neo sees the matrix.

Except the only numbers they see are '0'.

    Everything else is irrelevant.

Maybe we should all start voting for Joe in these polls, then maybe they'd stop. I mean its coming to the point where if Joe loses another poll the next one will pop up like "Who has the better resume, Calzaghe or Bob the club fighter from Iowa".

Not compared to Tito he didn't. Considering Calzaghe is just about an ATG, his resume is weak. Not to say there aren't some good names on there; Starie was a good domestic talent, there was also Reid (although Calzaghe was lucky to get the decision), Brewer and Mitchell were decent former champs as well. Bika was tough.....

But in terms of real, top quality, challenges or opponents, Calzaghe has Kessler, Lacy, Hopkins and Eubank. Eubank was past his best, but still a very good win. Lacy and Kessler were young, undefeated alphabetty title holders, but if neither goes on to do anything else in their career, that would seriously damage Calzaghe's legacy and the perception of his resume. Of course the opposite is true, no reason why Kessler can't dominate at 168. Roy Jones...well....lets not go there....

Hopkins was the best opponent Calzaghe ever faced, and he got a close decision. Sorry, but if Calzaghe were considered merely a "good fighter, with a good career", his resume is fine, no problems, but the way people hype him up so much, and claim he was so very great, in that context, Calzaghe's resume is feeble.

Where does this notion come from that Reid somehow deserved the decision?

Reid's immediate reaction post-fight was he lost...and he fought the fight!

He only decided to change his mind when he heard people had it close. Score this fight, it is Calzaghe close but clear.

Thats really not something to be proud of considering Roy's age and how shot he was at the time. Was Ali a great for Holmes when he beat him? I think not.
