Hatton is in the habit of holding his hands low and often opening his guard as the fight drifts into the later rounds.

While there is no doubt in my mind that Mayweather will attempt to correct this mistake, (especially considering he mentioned that he would have told Oscar to keep his hands together), it is unlikely that Hatton will follow through with that plan for the duration of the fight.

Even in Hatton's fight with Malinaggi, as early as the first round his hands fell below his chin and he was being hit with Malinaggi's weak punches.

Fortunatelly, Malinaggi had no right hand, and Hatton only had to worry about blocking his jab and throwing the hook as Malinaggi is also in the habit of not picking up his right hand fast enough to avoid hooks.

Pac's versatility in combination with his hands up, tight defense, headmovement, and explosive, straight punching will tag Hatton all night.

And Pac throws his punches with intent to hurt his opponent which in combination with Pac being on his toes for the majority of the fight, will allow him to move out of the way quickly and readjust.

Hatton will find it very difficult to close the distance on Manny especially considering Manny's southpaw stance, and Manny will be able to punch Hatton coming in, and then occasionaly land a roundhouse left to Hatton's body.

Hatton may find a bit of success in the begging of the fight considering his size and ability to push Pac around, but he'll find it increasingly harder as Manny's sharp punches bust Hatton the way in and his body attack slows Hatton down.

Hatton will eventually just have to resort to trying to maul Pac which will result in Pac throwing blisteringly fast and ESPECIALLY accurate combinations on the inside, eventually leaving Hatton a shell of who he was before the first round began.

Hatton will obviously attempt to land the left hook, but Pac, in a simliar plan against Oscar will circle away from it, and Ricky will still have a lot of trouble catching Manny with his right because Manny will be leading with his left, or countering the slower Ricky's right with his left all night long while simeltaneously leaning to his right and out of the way of Ricky's right hand.

Ricky is a good fighter, but Pac's speed, precision, and agility will be too much.

I expect Ricky to eventually quit on his stool or the ref to intervene sometime after round 7.

Hopefully Mayweather and Mosley fight to set up a superfight between PAC and Mayweather/Mosley.

Pacquiao's whole fight rests on Hatton not sticking to his game plan. If Floyd Sr can get him functioning properly, Pacquiao can't beat him.

    Hatton TKO10.

I think maybe Hatton knew he was safe doing those against Paulie, he may also not do that vs Pacman:deal

Yeah, but there are other intangibles.

Hatton isn't particularly fast (although he can throw his hooks on the inside quickly), he likes to maul his opponent, and he's short armed and isn't as dangerous as someone like Marquez for instance with his straight hands.

In fact, Hatton isn't really known as a fighter who throws lots of straight punches.

Because of the reasons stated and the fact that Pac has a southpaw stance, Hatton will find it incredibly difficult to close the distance and be effective.

When he does manage to do so he will with lunging right hands that will be countered by Pac's rapid left and quick headmovement to get out of the way of danger.

Pac will likely circle away from Hatton's dangerous hook, and considering Pac's speed, when Hatton does manage to get close, Pac will probably unleash a rapid combination.

What will really slow Hatton down though, especially considering Hatton is a very tough fighter, is Pac's body attack. Not too many fighters are able to effectively attack Hatton's body, but I believe Pac will find a great deal of success.

yer i agree paulie has good movement and chin he is the most feather fisted puncher on the world scene imo, hatton wont take that chance with manny he cant walk him down like that. if hatton can get on the inside and punish the body, that will take away pacman's biggest asset- his speed. Hatton TKO-8

This is nothing against Hatton, but he's just too slow.

And Pac is a multidimensional fighter with excellent speed and precision punches. He'll be able to dominate this fight at his distance and move out of the way effectively.

And if Hatton does manage to close the distance, Hatton will attempt to maul Pac and will find limited success as Pac will throw ridiculously fast combinations.

It will be competitive. Pacman isn't the master boxer many of you think he is.

    Hatton UD.

  14. When did Hatton become so slow :huh

And in the end, we've gotten no where. I'm glad I'll be there in person to see this fight go down.
