i've noticed a certain pattern when it comes to fights involving pac. his opponents seem to always do the very same thing... they always say that they are very confident and that they will win while pac just says in return that he will do his best and give the fans a great fight. and seemingly, pac ends up winning the fight. i'm not saying that pac will surely win as hatton is certainly a tough opponent. but pac has fought very tough opponents before and won. i just find it interesting that hatton is now part of this pattern... but i guess all of this is all done to just hype up the fight. i hope hatton really doesn't believe that the mythical p4p crown is directly transferable like a title or a belt. maybe it's just part of his effort to drum up interest in their fight.
Hatton will NEVER be the P4P King......ever if Joe Calzaghe retired at #3, no way in hell Hatton even touches the top 5
and who is? pray tell... mayweather? he has been inactive for more than a year now. in that same period, pac won another two belts, another lineal title and has fought and won in 3 different weight divisions. mayweather therefore lost his p4p crown due to inactivity coupled with pac's stellar year that has won him another fighter of the year award. whether you like it or not, pac is rightfully the p4p king now.
he'll probably say Bernard Hopkins, meaning that since Joe beat Bernard that would mean b4 Joe retired he was the P4P King
P4P is so obtuse in its thought that in actual reality its actually really pointless to debate as it so open to debate........complex? well so is the P4P nonsence. Usually the tag of P4P is picked for fighters who show high levels of skills in boxing, along with physical attributes and then we have to imagine that somehow they are all the same weight and then we rank them. If one was to actually think about this.......then whats the point? Hatton clearly uses his starting strength at 140 as a key advantage. How can one intepret this when comparing him to Chad Dawson? Pacman uses good boxings skills with top notch conditioning and speed......but if he were the same weight as Valuev.......then surely its very nature his speed and conditioning would be nulified. So in reality its a waste of time......... What we should be talking about is how to simply boxing with less weight diivisions and get all 4 main belts in some kind of universal understanding that there champions should fight each other and unify any belt for one main man etc
yep. that's why i think hatton won't be the man to beat pac. it will either be mosley or mayweather who does that.
Hatton must beat bigger guy not the smaller one to become #1p4p. If he beat PAC then he beat Mosley it will be no doubt he should have #1 spot.
