if he beats pac, then marquez, then floyd comes back and he beats him too, then sure, ricky will be the p4p king.

if P4P was a transferable lineal title then Pacman was right to demand 60-40

in fairness he'd need to win a title at 154 to make him a 3 weight world champ then he could be considered p4p king, winning at the weight he has fought most of his career at doesnt advance his p4p status into the top5 IMO

Did you consider Hopkins P4P number one after he had beaten a smaller man (Trinidad) at the weight he had fought his whole career at, or was he outside your top five as well?

no he wouldn't, a fighter could stay at the same weight his whole career and still be ranked #1. so if just as an example, hatton beat pac and then mayweather convingly both at 140, you would be hard pressed to find many people who wouldn't have hatton as #1.

Where do you get this from? The only place I have heard those words come from is Hattons mouth. I have not seen any media outlet publish that Hatton will become pound for pound number 1 if he wins and I live in the UK.

If Hatton beats Manny and then beats Marquez I would make him p4p1,

He cleaned up all opponents in his division and only lost to the greatest fighter on this era.

His style isn't the best to watch but if he beat manny and marquez you can not question he has superb ability in his own style
