What would you think of Wlad if he fights Arreola instead of Haye?

This much I know for a fact. If this fight does not come of Haye will handpick another 'Barrett' type Heavyweight to fight.

Both Haye and Wlad are essentially wasting half of 2009 because the fight could not come off. Both guys need to be active and fight good competition.

If any of you Brits think Haye is going to fight anyone with a pulse ie: a LEGIT top 5 heavyweight he won't. He will handpick another joke and then tell us he will unify the Division.

Haye is trying to get something with doing nothing. This was an optional defense and he had a Unified Champion willinmg to come to his own backyard for an Optional defense.

If Haye screws this up he has nobody to blame but himself. What other Heavyweight fighter has had a fight like this handed to them on a platter only to screw it up? I can't think of one in recent times.

Rahman quit, he was on the verge on being knocked out if he continued.

As far Arreola is concerned, the guys a joke, and you will see Wlad disposes of him like used condom. I dont understand why your optimistic about this guy, other than his power, what does he have going for him? If it wasnt for Walkers stamina problems, he would of finished Chris off early in that fight. The only fighters worthy enough to fight Wlad at the moment, is Povetkin and Haye.

Well he's got the klits to fight and short of that nothing but a time machine is going to get him a "top five opponent", minus top five maybe.

At least Haye showed talent, Arreola didn't. He looked like complete ****, and was way more hurt than Haye was. The only thing Arreola has better than Haye, is his chin, everything else is in Haye's favor IMO.

Tell you what. If Haye-Wlad does not come off and Haye fights ANY one of the fighters below instead I will leave ESB forever.

man, the way you sound, Wlad might as well just retire due to lack of competition.

You will see, Arreola is not as bad as you think, and Haye is not as deserving as you think.

I think Sam Peter and Eddie Chambers both would beat David haye at this point.

Vitali is the only other fighter I would favor over Wlad, and we all know that wont happen anytime soon, so after a couple more decent wins, he probably should retire.

Sam Peter would be a tough test for Haye, I say 50/50 as it stands right now. Chambers would get destroyed by Haye IMO, Haye's just to damn good for Eddie.

And here lies my only real problem with you Punisher: You admit that there's hardly anyone good enough to fight Wlad, yet you're upset that he hasn't been fighting good opposition. Povetkin wasn't ready before now, and quite possibly still isn't, and Haye wasn't really a heavyweight until recently. How is this Wlad's fault?

Anyway, for the original question, I take Wlad's part overall. Someone recently started a thread (and he's a Haye fan) lamenting at how many fights fall apart that Haye is involved in. I haven't heard of a lot of Wlad's fights falling apart, although if there are some you may enlighten me. Given this history, I'm more likely to think that Haye is at fault here, although it's possible that it is partially in Wlad's hands. Given that it's K2 Promotions that has to really deal with it, and if things go awry it's their bill, I can understand that they want things set well so they won't lose money.

I wouldn't be upset if Wlad fights Arreola instead of Haye myself. Quite honestly I would rather see Wlad vs. Chagaev, Valuev or Povetkin since the first 2 are beltholders of the same belt & Povetkin is his mandatory who actually earned the fight.

Arreola is undefeated and fought all of his fights at HW. He's the current #2 rated Heavy behind Povetkin who wants a tune-up before fighting Wladimir.

I agree i think quite a few top heavies could take Haye, i believe the hype around the Haye Klit fight may make it interesting though, that is why imo it should be made and not because haye deserves a shot

I agree the competition sucks, but Wlad's not even picking guys in my top 10, I could name at least 8 fighters with better names and or are more proven, theirs Povetkin, Haye, Peter, Valuev, Chagaev, Gomez, Maskaev, and Toney. I just hope Haye fights Wlad, the fans want that fight the most.

I would be disappointed if Wlad fought Arreola.
Wlad knocking out Arreola is a forgone conclusion. Arreola is simply suckish. He is slow and has no skills, and his chin does not seem to be all that either.
Haye has some flaws too, but at least he's quick and has an outside chance to score an upset. Arreola has virtually no chance.
If Wlad does not want to fight Haye, he should fight someone better than Arreola, which is just about anybody.

That's basically the way I see it too. Let's face it, these same guys that are crying foul are all Klitschko haters who wouldn't have given Wlad any credit for beating that British idiot anyway.

Arreola would knock Haye out cold, no doubt about it. Arreola is more of a threat than Haye anyday. Haye will get knocked out by Vlad if they do fight. Why do some worship Haye? It's anyone's guess, but Haye is not in Vlad's class.
