    1. FLoyd Mayweather undefeated over 5 weight classes and the most skilled easily out of the entire list accept for Roy Jones. Atleast 2 victories over top P4P fighters. If he came back today, he would automatically be considered the best fighter in the sport, regardless of what Manny does.

    2. Bernard Hopkins. King of the middleweight division and became the recognized champion at 175. Has big name recognition on his resume, but the big names were all smaller guys. This hurts him.

    3. Manny Pacquiao. Loses to what many consider a faded Morales and a draw with Juan Manuel Marquez hurt him. Was outboxed down the stretch by Marquez twice, but still won the fight regardless, and his destruction of DLH cant be ignored. If he beats Hatton he can enter the discussion with Floyd.

pac is it. nobody generated as much acclaim from a greater majority of fans and analysts. from obscurity to fame, without a boxing pedigree like pbf or american fan base like bhop and pbf.

pac is the mystical fighter from the east who fought all the best that east and west can offer and can truly claim to be one of the best gladiators. he gave us some of the most memorable fights in the last 8 years or so, be it win, lose or draw.

magnanimous in defeat and humble in victory. really, can there be any one else truly deserving of the fighter of the decade award?

I'm a big floyd fan but he doesn't get the fighter of the decade for me as he retired early

To me its close between bernard hopkins and pac but I give it to pac as he has done more than bernard and is still doing more and probably keep fighting and doing more till 2010.
