I'm annoyed I didn't think of this. Very good example.

I don't know if you could call him a "terrible" finisher considering the number of stoppages he has, but Wlad deserves a mention here.
I don't think I've ever seen a guy with his offensive capabilities be so reluctant to go for the finish when he has a guy ready to go.
He'll generally just keep prodding away until he's absolutely positive he's not in danger of punching himself out or (God forbid) the other guy hitting him with a good shot.
If he has killer instinct, he does a good job of hiding it.

Good post, yeah his finishing ability was strategically strong. The championship rounds with him would be hell wouldn't they? So strong, warrior, so great

Quartey in round 12. And I think that he had made a concerted effort to close the show, he might have taken Trinidad out of there, because he had him looking a bit ragged when the bell rang to start the ninth round...

Shane Mosley always got the job done when he has someone hurt. Also David Tua, just look at the Ruiz fight!

..I guess im going on killer instinct more than finishing, but it goes hand in hand most the time.

Sugar Ray Leonard- When an opponent is hurt, Leonard puts them away. Hearns survived the early onslaught, but Leonard got him in the 14th.
Other great finishers: Julio C. Chavez, Pipino Cuevas, Marvin Hagler, Jack Dempsey, Carlos Zarate, Manny Pacquaio, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Aaron Pryor.

Leonard's finishing against Lalonde was at it's most lethal, including his WW days.

For Me it was the final flurry & left hook against Davey"Boy"Green, it was just brutal! I think Green was unconsious before he even hit the canvas!
